LETS BEGIN!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Neither of us had much of an appetite. We quickly finished our meal, just in time since Brazil and Landon came only a few minutes after our meal was done.
"Hey.." Landon says to me, as I greet him.
"Shall we sit?" Rom says, gesturing to the table near his window. We all agree and sit. Raz sits on my left, while Landon sits on my right. Rom sits right opposite me.
"Well...Eiffel found out about my eye." Rom bluntly admits.
It only takes four seconds for Brazil to completly explode.
"What?! How could you?!" Brazil yells, standing up immediately, almost knocking the vase of flowers off the table. Rom sighs and gestures him to sit, like he was expecting this, and Landon just rolls his eyes.
"It was a mistake. I was healing from an injury," he glares at Landon, who just shrugs "and then when I woke up, my hair was sticking up and she saw my eye."
"Wait..why was your hair sticking up?" Brazil asks, his eyebrow furrowed.
"Because I was playing with it. I thought some air on his jaw would help." I admit, as I see Landon look away. Oh no.
"I don't see what's the big deal anyways. It's actually really pretty. It's like Landon's eyes." I say casually.
Landon whirls around to me, his eyes ridiculed with shock. Rom and Brazil jaws hang open, like I just said something extraordinary.
"Wha-"
"What colour are Landon's eyes?" Rom asks, his eye piercing into mine.
"Well," I look at Landon, and I feel my face flushing for no reason "They look like the galaxy. They are a mixture of blue, green and purple with white flecks." I say, as Landon's jaw drops open.
"How did you know that.." Landon says softly, his voice no more than a whisper.
"Because I looked into your eyes." I laugh, but no one laughs along.
"I knew it..." Rom says, staring at me as I look at him quizzically. "I knew there was something different about her."
What is he talking about? I was so confused.
"She's..." Brazil begins, but is cut off by Landon.
"That's impossible. There has to be something wrong." Landon says.
"What are you talking about?" I ask, as they all face me.
"Eiffel...no ordinary human can actually see Landon's eye colour. To them, his eyes are blue or green." Brazil explains, his eyes wandering around my face.
What? My ears buzzed and my mind raced with thoughts. What did he mean by 'ordinary human'? I knew I wasn't exactly leading an ordinary life, but I know I am a normal person. Just another normal girl.
"So...what does that mean?" I ask, looking at Brazil.
"That you are a Divine One." Brazil says.
What..? Divine One? What is that? Is that a title? I had never heard of it before.
"Or she has a genetic mutation." Landon interrupts, looking at Romany.
"Genetic mutations as much too rare. Not many have it..but being a Divine One is rarer...especially if you're not a Nobel, it's nearly impossible to be a Divine One." Rom says, looking at all of us.
Then there was another stretch of silence. Not one person said anything. Landon was looking at me the entire time, like I was a jewel or a mutant. I look at him too, looked at his eyes. I always saw galaxies in his eyes, never anything less. But why..?
"Guys, it has to be. She has to be a Divine One. There's no other explanation." Brazil says, standing up. Rom sighs.
"We can't jump to conclusions. Besides, look at her." he says, gesturing to me.
Landon's gaze moves to Rom, his eyes suddenly hardening. Romany notices, and also looks at him, angry as well. The waters between these two keep getting worse, and I'm the lone boat in the middle of the raging seas.
"What do you mean by look at her? She looks perfect!" Landon snaps, as my heart almost stops beating.
What did he just say...? Was I hearing things or did Landon just say I look..perfect?
"That's not what I meant..I meant like she doesn't have the eyes or powers...at least that we know of." Rom says, looking at me briefly before looking at Landon again.
"You guys are talking like she isn't here, even though she is." Brazil says, rolling his eyes. I almost agree with him, but decide against it.
All three of them look at me, and I suddenly feel a little uncomfortable. Landon notices, and clears his throat.
"You don't know. Maybe her eyes..signify something else. Not saying she's a Divine One, but it's a possibility." he says, glancing at me quickly before looking at Rom.
"As if you know. What do you know?" Brazil snaps, and Rom nods and agree. They're teaming up on Landon. Anger bubbles inside me, surprisingly.
"Stop it. That's enough. I'm not going to sit here and let you guys argue. And if you are going to..." my voice fades away, but I quickly regroup. "I'll just leave this place."
Rom and Raz widen their eyes in sync, as I get up. I am tired of hearing them argue. I hear Rom snap at Landon as I close the door behind me and run to my room, trying not to think about their words.
Divine One..Divine One..She's a divine one...genetic mutation... those words echo in my head repeatedly, and I'm even more confused now. First, some boy called Landon claims that he's my lover, then I am said to be..a Divine One? What is that anyways?
I enter my room, slamming the door behind me. I didn't want to talk to anyone. I lay on my bed, trying to gather up my thoughts. I take a deep breath. Was Romany really using me? To make a statement? And what about Landon and his 'magic' powers? Is everyone just going to ignore that? The questions are driving me crazy, and I want to just sleep. I toss the blankets over me, closing my eyes forcefully. I try to think of happy things...like paintings and drawings. But I can't. I hear a sound coming from my door -a knock- and I groan in my mind. I really didn't want to talk...but I pulled myself out of bed and made my way to the door. I quickly ensured I was wearing my jacket, which I was, and opened the door. Shockingly, I am encountered with..Landon?
