Chapter XXVI
Hi everyone! Sorry for no updates, I was away on camp and a lot of school stress is going on :(. Anyways, I'll try updating! xx
P.S.: Listen to the song while reading this chapter :). It kinda goes with it.

He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me. He kissed me.
I don't feel anything, just hear my breath coming in and out. Then, it hits me. He just..kissed me. It hits me harder than a boulder, and I suddenly feel so alive. My blood roars into my veins, crashing into waves of heat and lust. My entire being feels like it's burning, and I can feel my heart palpitating hard against my chest and my mind chasing the unforgivable, sinful thoughts in my brain out.
He gently pulls back and I see something flash in his eyes but he then pulls me into an embrace. I'm pinned to his chest, and he rests his chin on my head and sighs. His frame slightly shakes and then relaxes and I snap out of my trance. I wrap my arms around him, enjoying his unique and beautiful scent. He hadn't put any perfume on, this was his natural smell. And it was, weirdly, better. It smelled like unexpected rain, cooling, refreshing, but with a strange, but alluring minty scent to it.
I feel so safe, so nice.
So comfortable.
I can hear his heart beating in his chest, going in a steady, but quick rate.
I wonder if his heart also was palpitating like mine when his lips crashed against my cheek.
I wonder if he felt an electrocution in his veins when he kissed me.
I wondered so many things, yet I couldn't get any answers, so I just hugged him tighter and pushed the thoughts out of the way and focused on his heartbeat.
I knew it wasn't love, of course not. I was a Jayuea, and Jayuea's couldn't love.
It was just a friendly kiss. And he did it, not me, which isn't against the Jayuea law.
But something didn't feel right.
I felt like I was missing something, like a jigsaw piece or a colour in my rainbow. It was..just unsettling.
He pulls slightly away, but the warmth lingers on me. I look into his eyes and he looks into mine, and he seems to lean a little bit forward, his eyes piecing straight into mine, and I feel my breath getting faster.
He leans a little closer, his face only centimetres away from mine. If he comes any closer..
"Eiffel..I-" he begins but-
"Eiffel?"
A voice snaps my head back, and I'm greeted with a familiar blue eye.
Romany.
I squeak as I jump away from Landon, my heart racing. There was no way he didn't see that...no way.
"H-hi, Romany!" I squeak nervously, my eyes unable to look into his stormy one. He glares at Landon, who seems to hunch a little bit lower.
"What did you do to her?" Rom demands, glaring at Landon with cold hatred and fury burning in his eye. I bite my bottom lip to stop myself from screaming.
"Nothing, I was-"
"I had a panic attack, and he was helping me out!" I swiftly say, trying to cover up this mess. "I was just..so frazzled by everything so I kinda blacked out and hugged him, and he was just comforting me."
