But forget that: HOLY SHIZZLE I REACHED 500 READS/VIEWS?!??!?!!?!? THAT'S ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!! Thank you so so so much for these many reads, especially since I wasn't updating! It means the world to me that someone would actually spend time reading this poo. Anyways, here's the long overdue: CHAPTER 30!!!

P.S: I've attached the new TØP song: Heathens. It has no relevancy to the story itself but I think it's SUCH A FLIPPIN GOOD SONG AND PLEASE LISTEN TO IT AND YEA OKAY BYE.

Chapter XXX

I wish someone could explain what the hell was going on, but all those girls payed no attention to me.

There were at least fifteen of them, all standing in a straight line, excitement and nervousness covering over their faces like paint. They all stood high, whispering and talking but the buzz in the air was evident. I felt my nerves knot inside, but I couldn't get a word out.

"Miss Eiffel!" I hear a voice hiss as a hand grabs me and pulls me towards a lone hallway. I squeal a bit, but quickly stop when I see India, her eyes pleading for my cooperation. Anger perks inside me from the Landon incident, but I keep quiet as I let her guide me. Peru stands, hurrying us with a single hand motion. We quickly enter as I gasp, because it was my room.

"How..??" I stutter, as I gaze around everything in shock, to make sure it was my room.

"We've lived here for seventeen years, Miss Eiffel." Peru said, as I turned to gaze at them. Their eyes were filled with something I had never seen before: nervousness.

"What's going on out there?!" I quietly yell, as they exchange a quick glance before looking at me. I see Peru swallow air and India fidgeting, but no words.

Finally, India looks up into my eyes and says:

"It's Princesses, and one of them is to be King Romany's bride."

    ***

"It's an ancient tradition for one bride from each of the seventeen islands to present themselves in front of King Romany. After he gets to know them, they're send away and the one who the king likes best is chosen to be his bride." Peru says, using a wand-like object to curl my hair. "The girls are all awaiting to be Queens."

"But, if the King doesn't like any, it's possible for him to choose one from the Western Region. Though it's quite rare that that happens." India adds, as I look at my reflection in the mirror.

"You're a guest here, but you still must look presentable in front of the King." They both chorused as they applied some cosmetics on my face.

They finally finished as I stared at myself. As usual, they did an amazing job. I was wearing a long, champagne coloured dress that covered my heels. Ruffles were at the bottom, and black lace was patterned on top. They were full sleeved, and covered all my scars perfectly. I twirled a bit, letting the ruffles float gently. I looked like a medieval princess, half my hair twirled into a ponytail while the rest was let loose.

I looked back at them, but there was still nervousness flickering in their eyes. I wasn't going to apologise for standing up for Landon, though. He was my..friend.

"Miss Eiffel, we're really sorry." They both blurted out at the same time, looking at each other and then looking at me, their eyes filled with guilt and sorrow. "We're sorry for what we did to him and to you."
