2. But its a comic book

Mikey's P.O.V

"There's two boxes in the back, stock them and then lock up and you go home"

I sighed quietly. I hate stocking the store, but at least if I'm locking up that means I can play music. As the smashing pumpkins blared through the store, I decided to look at one comic in the bottom of the second box. It was the only one of its kind, so I assumed it had just gotten mixed up somehow. Which means no one would mind if I took it home.

I flipped the book over to look at the back cover and was greeted by the words
"my chemical romance".
As I read these words I thought "that'd be a cool band name huh?"
And then it hit me.
That would be a cool band name.
I pulled out my phone to call Gerard, and he picked up on the third ring.

"Where are you?" I asked

"At home? I'm getting dressed for band practice, why?" He sounded like he just woke up.

"I've just found the most incredible band name"

"Well what is it?"

"My chemical romance"

"My chemical romance?" He said slowly, like he was trying it out.

"What do you think?"

"I think it's too great a name for the members of 'Nancy Drew'" he said in a disgusted tone "But I bet Ray would love it so if I can get him on board, all we'll need is drummer and maybe a second guitarist." I was slightly confused.

"What about a bassist?"

"You play bass don't you?"

Oh.

"Well yeah but I never thought you'd want me for a bassist"

"Well I do, so get your skinny ass home and I'll call Ray and we'll work on this"

"Be there in 20"

Holy shit. I never thought I'd play for anything important and to be invited to play in the band is a lot more exciting than it seems. I rolled up the comic and tucked it into the waistband of my jeans. I locked up and ran out onto the pavement and, deciding not to wait for the bus, I walked home as quickly as my legs would take me
