Scott and Stiles were there before the girls.

The sat and waited until they showed up.

Stiles saw Lydia first walking towards them. God, she looked good. She had a smile on her face.

Behind her was Allison. Scott got up and she ran to him.

Allison was Scott's first real love. She was a new girl in the school but Scott had noticed her. It wasn't like Stiles and him were SO popular.

Allison and Scott kissed and they walked away so they could be alone for a moment.

-Stillinski, Lydia said.

His name sounded so good when she said it.

-Martin, Stiles replied.

He tried hard not to freak out.

Lydia started walking and he followed. She sat down and started putting her skates on.

-Do you even know how to ice skate? , asked the girl.

-Yeah... I mean... kind of.

He sat down and putted his skates on too. He was quick so he was up, before she was.

Lydia laughed and he smiled. It was nice how they were actually talking. They both knew each other, they were in the same class, but they never talked.

-I can show you how to do it, if you want. , she offered him her hand asking for his help and she gave it to her without any hesitation.

She quickly walked to the ice arena and once she was in, no one could stop her. She was slipping on the ice fast like she was weightless. She could be flying. She just ran for a while and then she spun around. She spun for a moment and then she stopped and she headed to Stiles. She was smiling at him.

He probably looked ridiculous. He was staring at her like she wasn't human, which was pretty stupid since he knew she was good at ice-skating.

She reached him and took his hand. She lead him and they slipped on the ice.

.....

Stiles, Lydia, Scott and Allison lost the track of time. When they  left the arena it was dark.

The four teenagers got in Stiles' jeep and drove Scott home. Allison would spend the night there so they said their goodnights. It was 9 o'clock as Stiles drove Lydia back to her house.

-So.... it's just 9 o'clock. Do you want to go anywhere or...

Stiles pressed the brake. The street was silent, no one else was there. He turned and faced her.

-Lydia, are we friends?

He felt angry, not knowing why. It wasn't anything she said or did, so what was it?

It was that she ignored him. Always and completely. And now she was acting like they were buddies. But why did that make him so angry? It shouldn't.

-What? ,the girl responded, yes, I guess--

-Yeah?! So you promise me that you will actually talk to me tomorrow. In the school, in front of your friends, in front of your boyfriend--

-Ex-boyfriend!

That shut Stiles up. He just looked at her ashamed of what he said, because all that anger that he was holding onto before had disappeared.

-Sorry, I don't know why did all this.

He looked at his feet.

-You were right Stiles. Allison always said that I should break up with him anyway. You and Scott are cool, really. I've done everything I could to create an image. Now I am doing what I want.

He didn't know how to respond to that and his gaze was always at his shoes.

-I can walk home, it's pretty close.

Stiles looked at her and she was ready to go.

-Lydia come on, don't act like an idiot, I know you're not one!

-I'll be fine Stiles.

She got out of the car with fast movements. Stiles watched her as she walked away.
