The quick and choppy footsteps echoed in the corridors as the servant rushed to the throne room. He passed empty, dust filled rooms, countless old paintings with past kings and queens, and made sharp turns in the wide halls.
Just keep walking, no running. The servant reminds himself as he increases his speed. His jumbled up nerves forced his heart rate to accelerate and the sweat to roll down on the sides of his face.
With another sharp turn, he sees the doors to the throne room.
"Don't stutter, be confident. Don't stutter, be confident." The servant mumbles under his breath. He stands before the intimidating door and wipes away any lingering sweat from his face. Opening the door, he notices his king in a deep conversation.
"–and if they were to again attack from here, make sure your men are prepared. I do not want our past to pay us a visit." The King of Nertronia warns the captain of Nertronia's army.
"Yes your Majesty." The caption bows with a slight tilt of his head and rolls up the several maps scattered across the large table.
The servant clears his throat, having the two men lift their heads in his direction. "Your Majesty." He takes two steps forward.
"Captain you are dismissed." The King glances skeptically at the nervous servant as he gets up from the table and walks over to his golden throne.
As soon as the captain is gone and the doors have closed, the servant speaks up.
"Sir, there i-is someone calling f-for you." The servant said quietly and nervously while shifting from foot-to-foot.
"Who would that be?" The King demanded. "And quit your stuttering."
The servant stood a little taller and tried to show no signs of fear, but failed. "He said he is the messenger from the Fire planet."
The King snorted, "Fire element eh? Bring him in."
The servant quickly left the throne room to go get the messenger. The King sighed as he waited for them to come back, running his hand through his thick beard and in deep thoughts.
The servant and another young man approached the king and bowed. The King looked over to the messenger. His dark hair fell on to his face, almost covering his reddish-brownish eyes. The clothes he wore were beaten down, worn out, and torn in different places. The King tried to understand why the messenger couldn't have the decency to look more....appropriate.
"What is it that you must tell me?" The King asked.
The messenger started, "I have come to tell you about a girl. She lives on the planet Earth and King William of the Fire Planet sent me to tell you that she has incredible amount of power and she's showing signs already. The random and uncontrollable power to set something on fire if she's angry or possibly make a hurricane happen if a tear slips out and I hav-"
The Kind rose his hand to stop him. He walked over to the messenger and said almost in a whisper, "There are no such thing. This...girl would have been noticed by now and especially by me."
"But I have seen it myself. She seems to control all the elements." The messenger said unable to face the King anymore.
"How do you know of this?"
"I was sent to Earth to find anymore people whom had the Fire element, since the incident, but I have encountered the girl. She has tremendous power that she is unaware of and I only beg, you being King of all planets and Nertronia, bring the girl here before evil will find her first." The messenger pleaded.
The King narrowed his eyes to make sure that all of this was true.
"Henry!" The King shouted. Suddenly, a young man approached in front of the throne room. His tall stance is the first thing anyone notice, making him intimidating. His eyes displayed a very dark shade of blue, making it obvious he is of the water element. He is well built for his age, being that he is nineteen and is known to be the prince of the Water planet and son of the King and Queen of his home planet. His logic, strength and speed, making the King decide that he would be perfect for this task.
"I need you to find a girl on the planet Earth. She is very important to us and I know you can handle this. Right?" The King asked Henry.
He nodded with a small smirk. "Of course I can. You picked the right man for the job. Who is this girl?" Both the King and Henry looked at the messenger.
The messenger replied, "Joy Wright."
