Chapter 12 (Mystery Solved)

Waking up with a massive headache, confused as to where I was but after taking in my environment I realized I was in my room. I groaned and out of nowhere someone's face appeared in my line of vision. Everything was vague at the beginning but soon cleared up and I realized Lexie standing above me. I managed to sit up on my bed disregarding the discomfort I felt.

"Take this," she handed what I guessed were pain killers, and even after taking it my body felt sore and exhausted. She looked at me with a pitiful expression on her face causing me to wonder why. That was when my memory rushed back to me like a dream, Jordan did this to me.

"What happened to me Lex, one minute I was hitting him and the next he was sucking the life out of me." That monster, I bet he has some abilities I don't know of.

"Don't worry you'll be alright. The Alpha has the power to drain the energy off of anyone by looking them deep in the eyes, his power restricts his victims from looking away. No werewolf has that power and legend says it was given to him by Elisa." Again that girls name comes up from his past. "No one really knows the truth behind it."

"I'm hungry." I tried to stand but couldn't properly walk. Honestly how can Jordan do this to me, I mean, if he has so much power he could have used it on someone who was well deserving of his torture not his own mate. My legs were shaky.

"I'll have to help you in anything until you recuperate your energy back. Plus Louise is making something for you and I bet it will be ready by the time we get downstairs. You have been out for quite some time that all you need right now is food to regain your strength."

"How long was I out for?"

"More than 24 hours." My eyes almost popped out of my skull, I have never been out that long ever in my life and to think it was my own mate who put me in such situation, I deal with him later.

In the kitchen, Louise drew me into a hug, she was really excited to see me. "Oh honey, I missed not seeing your pretty face, and all the compliments you give to each meal I prepare for you. How are you doing?"

"I'll be a lot better after I eat something." She shook her head laughing as she placed a bowl of soup on the table as Lex helped me sit down. Just what I need during a time like this, she made me miss my mom.

"It's a special recipe my mother taught me you will feel a better after you take it." I thanked her finished everything in under fifteen minutes. After I was done, I managed to carry myself upstairs since I didn't want to be treated like a sick patient and I felt a little better to take a bath and to call my family home. I missed my parents the most, my mom's phone rang three times until she picked up.

"Hey honey, how are you doing?" She spoke up.

"Hey mom, I'm good what about you and everyone." I replied wishing I was back home living freely without a mate who makes me cry and knocks me out for a day which by the way I wasn't ready to tell my mom about.

"We are all good, honey there is something I need to tell you." She sounded serious.

"Okay mom what's up?"

"Remember the two wolves you killed back at your uncle's pack." I was amazed she was bringing this up slowly nodding despite the fact that she couldn't see me, but she continued either way.

"Well the third brother you left alive is set on bloodthirst revenge mission to find you and make you pay for what you did. Alpha Jason already informed your mate and he promised to keep you safe, please be extra careful when you go out Leticia and stay under your mates watch because he's the only one that can keep you safe." She sounded extremely worried and I know my mom wants to make sure I'm shielded but my wolf and I'm sure my wolf and I can handle that weakling.
