It is the day of Mariana's birthday. Mason and I haven't spoken much since our fight.
"Hey, Tasha, the decorators are here." I smile and thank Dominique for letting me know.
"Just let them straight in. Show them where to decorate." He nods his head and walks away, tapping at his iPad. He's got an obsession with that thing.
I go back to helping Mariana get dressed into her punk rock princess outfit.
"You look great!" I say grinning once we finish. She turns to me and hugs me.
"Thanks mummy." I smile and kiss her head.
"Hey can I speak to you for a second?" I turn to see Mason at the door. I nod my head and walk with him into his study.
"What's up?" He sighs and takes my hands in his.
"I'm sorry about the fight we had. I really am, I don't like that we're not talking." I nod my head and kiss his cheek.
"It's okay." He smiles and caresses my cheek before leaning and planting a soft, sweet kiss on my lips.
"You sure? We're okay?" I nod my head with a soft smile.
"We're okay." He nods and walks away back to helping the caterers set up.
"I see you've made up." I jump slightly and turn to see Dominique.
"Yeah, he apologised." Dominique frowns.
"He keeps doing this to you." I look at him shocked.
"Doing what?" I ask.
"He says sorry but keeps doing the same thing over again. Saying sorry to someone is like saying you won't do it again...he isn't sorry, and he will keep on treating you like that." I roll my eyes.
"It's sweet you're trying to look out for me, even though it isn't any business of yours, but I'm fine." Dominique purses his lips and walks away.
I follow after him, confused at why he seems so hurt. I walk into his office after him and close the door.
"Why do you seem so hurt about all of this?" I ask.
"Because you deserve better!" He half yells half groans in frustration as he turns to me. The frustrated look on his face backs up his answer.
"Mason and I are good for each other." Dominique shakes his head and pits his iPad down on his desk.
"No he's not, I-" he stops himself and takes a deep breath. Walking over to me, he guides me with his hands on my hips, until my back is against his office door.
With one hand he brushes his fingers through my hair, finally resting his hand on my cheek, caressing my skin.
"Tasha, he's not good to you." He says softly, his head so close to mine I can smell his minty breath.
"He's good enough." I murmur softly.
"You shouldn't settle for something less than what you want. You should be with me Tasha, I would treat you the way you should be treated." I shake my head.
"He's my husband." Dominique places his forehead against mine and sighs.
"You should never stay out of obligation. I know you're not happy. The fights are starting over nothing and lasting weeks." I close my eyes, not knowing whether to push him away or not.
He wraps his hand the is resting on my waist, around so his hand is firmly places on my back. I open my eyes just in time to see him like his lips lightly, before bringing them to meet my lips. I feel my heart start pumping from the adrenaline. This is so bad, so bad. But if it was so bad, why does the feeling of his firm lips against my soft ones feel so right. The way his lips move against mine and the way his hands make my body head up.
"I-I can't do this." I say as I pull away and walk out of his office.
I just cheated on my husband...what makes it worse is I don't think I can stay away, I already miss the feeling of his lips against mine.
