I set the picnic blanket down on the sand. Putting up an umbrella to keep us out f the sun. Both the kids have floaters on and sunscreen doused all over them. Dominique sits next to me and takes off his top. He gives me a smile and take my hand in his as we relax in our chairs watching the kids make sand castles.
"You're going to burn." I say as he bakes with his back toward the sun.
He turns to me and smiles I lean down and press my lips softly against his.
"Put sunscreen on for me?" He asks. I nod and get it out, putting some on my hands and rubbing it in to his back. I see one deep scar on his back that I can't help but trace.
My curiousness being too much I start to trace a lot of his scars.
"They were from my dad." He says softly, knowing I want to ask. I stay quite and listen to him as he tells me what they are from.
"He wasn't around much. He'd stay for maybe a week once a month when I was growing up, because of it I didn't see him as my father so I'd stay out of his way but he would continuously try to get a ride out of me. He would start on my mum. Beating her so I would step in and protect her." I continue on rubbing his back.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that." He gives me a small smile.
"Come here." He says. I smile and lay down next to him.
He cups my cheek softly and kisses my lips. I smile into te kiss. I can't help it. I can't help but fall for him more and more. It makes sense as to why he got so mad last night and also why he's so affectionate to my children. Because he knows how it feels.
"Dom can we go swim?" Mariana asks.
He smiles at her and stands up with her hand in his.
"Are you coming?" I smile and take off my summer swimwear dress so I'm left in my bikini. I blush as I watch his eyes take in my body. I pick up Jackie and carry him to the shoreline just like Dominique with Mariana.
"You two have such beautiful kids!" A lady gushes as she stands next to us. I blush.
"Thank you." Dominique says grinning, wrapping an arm around my waist as I watch te kids in the water a couple of inches from out feet.
"You must be proud. They seem like good children." The lady continues.
"They take after their mother." Dominique says with a small smile.
"I'm sure they take after you too!" Dominique just chuckles, not correcting the lady.
By the end of the afternoon we are packed up and heading home with two sleeping kids in the backseat.
We get home and it's not long after their bath that try head to bed and conk out again. Dominique and I are laying on my bed cuddled together.
"I need to ask you a serious question." I look at Dominique waiting for him to continue.
"Are you going to divorce him?" I sigh.
"Yes. It's the only thing I can do. I can't go back to him. Not after what he did last night." I say honestly.
"You know I'm in love with you right?" I nod my head cautiously waiting for him to continue.
"So if you were to go back with him, it would break me. Not just because I won't have you. But because I'll know the man that does is hurting you." I look at him to see the fear in his eyes. I lean over him, cup his cheeks and press my lips to his. Soon enough I'm straddling him.
"I wouldn't do that to you. Im not going back to him." I say honestly. Kissing each cheek.
"I love you." I grin at the words that come out of his mouth.
"I was wondering when that'd slip out of your mouth." He blushes.
"Well, I do. And I don't want you to reply. I don't want to know if you don't love me yet. But I don't want you to say it because you think you have to." I smile and kiss his neck softly.
"If I didn't love you, i wouldn't have thrown away my marriage for you." He gives a soft smile.
"I thought it was because he cheated." I sigh as I rub my hands up and down his chest.
"It's not the first time that he's cheated. I took him back many times because there were so many reasons to stay. But this time I had a reason to leave." He grins and presses his lips to mine full force with passion and fire I couldn't help but smile into the kiss.
He rolls my around so I'm under him and starts to trail kisses all the way from my neck down to the crevice of my breasts.
"I love you." I whisper softly as he continues to send my senses into overdrive.
