(Not edited)"Your late!" my dad yelled.
"Sorry me and Tyler..."
"Say no more!"
"I'm really sorry"
"You guys have been spending way to much time together and your growing up. Soon your gonna need to marry off and..."
"Dad stop."
"No it's true your almost 17 and I can't have my eldest daughter running around like a dog. You'll never get married like that."
"Well then I don't want to get married."
"Guys please no arguing we need to say grace and start eating" mom said.
"I took a seat between my sister Karie and brother Luke. And right across from Mom. We all said grace and began eating mash potatoes, green beans and a piece of chicken. I looked at my plate the whole time not knowing whether to talk or not. I had so much on my mind. I tried to eat fast and went upstairs to my room. Once I got to my room their was a knock at the door.
"Brooklyn could I come in?"
It was my dad. Probably wants to talk about getting married ugh. But I can't say no so...
"Yea sure"
My dad came in and took a seat beside me on the bed."I'm sorry about what happened downstairs."
"It's okay" I said frowning
"You know if I could keep you small forever I would but I can't your my little girl."
"Yea I know life was so much easier back then. Hey dad could I ask you a question?"
"Anything"
"What hospital was I born in."
"The one across the street of course everyone was born there." My dad replied with.
"Okay so where's my birth certificate?"
"Where's all this coming from?"
"It's just that I realized I have no baby pictures passed 4."
"Okay and...?" At that moment my mom came in.
"So are you guys getting along"
"Well our daughter here just asked a really weird question."
My mom sat down next to me and put her arm around my shoulder "what is it sweetie."
"Well it's just everyone else has tons of pictures and I'm here with like three. And everyone remembers who there first grade teacher was I don't...why?"
"Sweetie..."
"Please tell me the truth."
"Well um..." My mom began
"You were born across the street. We didn't take many pictures when you were a baby cause that was a busy part of our life. And your first grade teacher was Mrs. Mimi. Happy?...now leave your mother alone." My dad screamed.
"So why don't I Remember that and what made you so busy?" I yelled back.
Mom started crying I was so confused it was just a simple question."Brooklyn! Stop please!"
"But.?" I look at both my parents all confused what could they possibly be talking about? But they both just got up and left my room heading downstairs. I followed them both and hid behind the railings listening carefully.
"John honey I think it's time to tell her"
"No we can't"
"We need to tell her eventually"
"No we don't we are suppose to protect her"
What tell me what ugh...just say it...
"But what if her memory's are coming back we'll need to send her and she'll start asking questions what then? Plus what happens if The Darkside...
"No buts were not telling her we will deal with that when it comes"
I then bumped my head against the railing causing a loud banging noise. Of course my clumsy self. Both my parents look up toward the stairs so I rushed back up the stairs and into my room. Quietly yet quickly closing the door. What are my parents keeping from me. What about my memory's and what's the Darkside?
