Love since grade one

Chapie 16

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Pikachu is fatter now then the more recent cartoons." He admits. I tried to hide the sadness with a smile.

"What'd you get on the science project?"I questioned.

"89%... You?"

"87%. Want to go to the park and give the lovely couple some privacy?" I asked.

"Sure."

"USE PROTECTION GUYS! WE'RE GOING TO THE PARK SO HAVE FUN!" I hollered to Kat and Maxi while dragging Spencer out the door. We walked to the park talking about random things as I kicked a rock all the way there.

Once we reached it, we raced to the swings and I ended up tripping thus leading to Spencer's win. Though he did feel bad and came back to help me.

After awhile, I got bored and laid in the grass gazing at the cloudy sky. Spencer was laying next to. Every now and then, we'd make eye contact and smile. His smile was so perfect, he had cute little dimples, perfect straight white teeth.

I reached out and played with his blonde hair, it was just a few centimeters longer then Maxi's. His blue eyes stated curiously at my strange actions.

The silence between us was not awkward, it was more like calming, peaceful... Just nice. A drop of rain attacked my nose and soon, his little friends joined the war. I giggled as the rain began to pour, soaking Maxi's ACDC shirt and my blue skinny jeans.

"About what I said earlier.. Based on what Kat said. She was right about something and it's manning up to tell the truth. That day in grade one was a mistake."Spener stated. I pouted and looked at the ground. His hand cupped my cheek and my gaze went back up to his face to search for answers.

"It was a mistake because I rejected you. For years I thought long and hard about how stupid I was for it. I feel like an idiot, you're beautiful, smart, kinda, sweet, and so much more. I don't know how I never saw this before." He ranted on making my eyes widen. He leaned his face towards mine, butterflies erupted in my stomach.. I think I just died, 3 times inside.

His soft, tender lips met mine. I was taken aback for a moment, I hesitated but kissed him back. Our lips moved in sync like perfection. He kissed me so passionately, stealing my lip virginity. Then, he pulled away making me whimper.

"Please forgive me. I really do like you." He admitted. My face went cold.

"When do you leave?" I asked.

"How'd you know I was moving?" He questioned, I knew it.. They always leave. I rolled my eyes and stomped away.

"Nicky, wait! We could do long distance?" He stated.

"Then what? I'm going to virtually hug and kiss you? It's not the same. I want to wake up next to you in the morning, be able to hug and kiss you when I want, cuddle you when I'm cold. Distance ruins a relationship."

"No, doubts do, distance is just a bunch of numbers. Please just try it. That way if it doesn't work out, I can proudly say I've accomplished my goal I've had since grade one." He pleaded with puppy dog eyes. I tried to resist but I just couldn't.

"....fine." I said while rolling my eyes. He engulfed me in a tight hug then pulled away making the cold air nip at my skin. He backed away, kneeled on one knee and took my hand.

"Nicky, will you be my girlfriend." I giggled at his cheesiness and nodded. He jumped to his feet and kissed me softly.

I was determined on spending a great amount of time with him until he had to depart.

"When are you leaving?" I questioned.

"Tomorrow at 8:30 am, I'm already packed and everything. Ill spend my last moments with you and leave Max's at around 6:00am.

Later on we headed back, hand in hand at 1:00 in the morning to Maxi's. I was sad that Spencer was leaving tomorrow, technically today. That night, I cuddled up to his side and fell asleep peacefully in his strong arms.
