My favorite genre would be horror.
Horror puts you on edge and makes you scared of things that don't even exist. Just that fear pumping through your veins is reward in itself.
Unlike other genres, I feel that horror plays with your emotions. When a game can make you scared for your life and make you cry at the same time, that just means the creator did a great job making the game and developing the plot. This is mostly the case in the horror genre. Hence why I like it so much.
