Chapter 24

AJ Lee - 2 days until Battleground
I run on the treadmill in my basement. Sasha had flown down to where Battleground was being held so she could focus on the task at hand. I'm beginning to question if I really wanted revenge on Brie or not. She was the girl I loved and adored and I would've taken a bullet for her but then she broke me and cheated on me and continued to stomp on this mangled heart.
I pull out my headphones before increasing the speed on the treadmill. I just had to think about running. Not the way Brie's hands felt when they ran through my hair or over my skin or the way her lips felt on mine or the way her breath tickled my ear. I had to forget about the way she laughed and smiled or the way her eyes lit up when she talked about something she was passionate about. I had to forget the way she was serious when she was training or the way she would bite her thumbnail when she was thinking of something.
I stop the treadmill and walk towards the squat rack. I grab 50 lbs and begin squatting.

I stand up straight and place the bar back on the rack before stretching a bit. I go upstairs and change before grabbing my wallet and keys and locking the doors. I needed to drive, anywhere but here.

Brie Bella:
I walk into the house that I once shared with my favourite Black Widow before everything happened.
I walk into the kitchen and look around before noticing someone sitting at the coffee table.
"What are you doing here, Nikki?" She looks up, her brown eyes meet mine.
"We need to talk?"
"I don't have to talk to you until Battleground." I place my purse on the island and hang my keys up on the rack.
"Actually, you do." Nikki gets up and I notice she wasn't in her usual heels and dress, she was in skinny jeans, a tank top and runners. "We need to talk because I sincerely thought you loved AJ. You are such a good actress, you even had Vince believing so."
"I do love AJ."
"You're a liar, Brie. If you loved AJ, you wouldn't have gone behind her back and slept with her enemy OR her ex. She never once cheated on you because she loved you!"
"Why are you being so defensive?"
"Maybe because - unlike you - I actually care about how others feel. My heart broke when John cheated on me with Kelly Kelly. I was crushed when he did that and to think you've cheated on AJ twice and she only knows about one, can you imagine how she's feeling?"
"If you don't remember Nicole, Daniel cheated on me too!"
"But weren't you cheating on him with AJ? You were kissing her behind his back and you loved her. You married Daniel simply because the WWE told you too." I slap Nikki across the face before glaring at her.
"Get out of my house." She looks at me, venom in her eyes.
"I will, but just know you won't have AJ back." She grabs her phone and walks out. I stare after her. What was she planning on doing?

Sasha Banks:
I left AJ because I knew she was heartbroken after Kaitlyn broke up with her, just like when Bayley broke up with me. I like AJ, as more than just a friend, but I've known Bayley and I've trained with Bayley for the last 3 years. She's the one who truly holds my heart and I gave that up when AJ kissed me.
I open the hotel room door to see AJ standing there, her brown eyes were puffy and we face was red.
"AJ? What's wrong?"
"I know you left because you still love Bayley, I get that and I don't care. I'm glad you have someone you love and my advice is to never give something so special away just because your body wants someone else. Go to her, make up with her and never let her go again."
"AJ, what are you saying?"
"I'm saying go to Bayley, tell her you love her, tell her how much she means to you. Tell her that you're sorry and then never let her go. Don't be like me, Mercedes. Don't let that one special person in your life go because of a mistake or a fight, ok?" I nod and she turns around and walks away. I grab my keys and begin the drive to Florida. I had to see Bayley.

So, AJ's still thinks of Brie.
Nikki is planning something to make sure Brie never has AJ again.
Sasha is going to make up with Bayley.
What about AJ's cryptic words? Who could she be referring to?
