After the tea was made and Jeff was sat down you started to feel more comfortable with the man in your house. You had been alone since Sunday and often spent the afternoons walking the streets alone or reading in the college library with your best-friend. You spent the first night at your boyfriends house, but found out that night that he was heavily into drugs when he tried to force you to take them. That night you also ended up leaving him, and walking home in the rain.

You ended up thinking this over while you drank. Jeff moved in closer to you and lifted your chin up with his hand; his thumb on your chin and his other fingers under it. He moved your face up until your eyes met his.

He looked worried, and when you looked closer you could see that he was worried about you.

You were mesmerized by his eyes; they had parts of grey to them, as well as blue. This made you a little excited, as he looked cold and dominant, as well as kind and caring. You knew he wouldn't hurt you, but the coldness in the grey made you feel otherwise. You found it hard to look away.

      He looked away first.

He got up from the table to leave, and you watched him leave the kitchen before following him.

You stood up too quickly, and the hangover hadn't quite subsided, so you started to fall when you tried to follow him.

"Jeff"

You had closed your eyes ready to fall to the floor, and when the falling feeling had stopped you were sure that you had fallen badly.

You willed yourself to open your eyes, to see the floor further away than you had expected. You felt arms around you.

      His arms.

Jeff's arms.

A sudden feeling of safety flooded over you, and as he began to slowly lift you up, you felt weightless.

You had never felt this way before. No one had ever affected you like this.

Why was Jeff different?

Once you were on your feet he moved your hair from your face and sighed. Had you disappointed him?

The thought crept over you until he smiled. The smile warmed you, and you let him lead you by your waist to the front room.

He sat on the couch and motioned for you to do the same.

You sat on the edge, allowing him to pull you back. Jeff's arm was around our shoulders, and you cuddled in closer to him.

He put his feet on the small table, and you had to stop yourself from shouting at him. It was a habit you caught from your parents, but remembering that they would not know about it, you didn't bother bitching.

You felt too weak to do it anyway. You found your eyes slowly closing until everything went black...
