You woke up alone.

You were led on the seat you went to sleep on, but Jeff was missing. You could hear movement from the hall, and you got up to follow it.

It was hard to see in the dark, but the front rooms floor was clean, so you didn't have to worry about stepping on knives.

You found Jeff in the hall. He had a blood stained, sharp knife in his hand, and he was sorting out a hoodie he had just put on. His eyes were wide, with black around them, and his carved smile looked more sadistic.

     "Jeff!?"

He turned around quickly to look at you, his eyes looking sad.

     "Baby, I..."

You cut him off my hugging him.

"I don't care, just explain this to me."

He hugged you back, and promised you an explanation when he got home. He then led you up to bed and made sure you were comfortable before leaving your room and leaving the house.

You heard the door open at around 4:30 in the morning. He left at around 11 and you hadn't slept since.

You heard him slowly walk up the stairs and to the door of your room. He didn't knock, just gently opened the door and whispered to the darkness.

     "You awake?"

You answered softly, and he walked fully into the room, closing the door behind him. He walked up to the bed and you could hear movement beside you. You moved to the side, leaving enough room for him.

After a couple of minutes you felt the blankets move and him slide into bed with you. The weight now on the bed made you move closer to him. Your body touched his, and he put his arm over your waist holding you close. You felt his skin, and thought nothing of it.

He pulled you in closer, and gently kissed you lips. It was almost just a brush against your lips, but you still felt it; and gasped.

     "Go to sleep baby"

His voice was deep, and you could hear he was tired.

     You did as he said.

You went to sleep in his arms.

And you slept better that night than you ever had.
