You woke up with arms around you. You turned around to see Jeff fast asleep. He looked peaceful, and you couldn't help but smile. His eyes opened slowly and he looked at you, confused. He reached out and moved a piece of hair from your face, leaned in, and kissed your lips softly. His kiss lingered on your lips after he moved away.

'Jeff'. Your voice was quiet and slurred. You thought he hadn't heard you until he turned around. 'Why did you sneak in last night?' He dropped the clean hoodie that was in his hands and crawled onto the bed, trapping you under him. His hair fell around his face, framing it, creating a contrast between his dark hair and light skin.

'When I left you were asleep and I thought you still were, but when I saw that you were awake I couldn't help myself. You're cute when you're scared.'

He landed back and put some of his weight on your legs. Looking down at you and grinning, you couldn't help but want to slap him for purposely scaring you, but he looked so happy now that you didnt want to spoil it. He got off you and continued getting dressed.

'I'm having some friends over later that I want you to meet, so don't run away today. We'll talk about yesterday later, when we're alone.'

He spoke sternly and you knew he was angry about yesterday. You just stayed silent, scared.

After a few hours of cleaning the house in silence the doorbell rang. Jeff stood up from the table to answer it, while you stayed in the kitchen. It reminded you of the 'women belong in the kitchen' jokes your best friend made whenever you were near them. Remembering him made your eyes fill with tears. What if you never saw him again?

You couldn't help but notice the golden mop of hair at the doorway, falling into blue eyes. Blue eyes you recognised. Identical to Jeff's, but so much different. Brighter, more full of life, deeper. But they lacked the caring look that you could see in Jeff's, even though he tried to hide it. He looked so much like Jeff, but so different; because of those eyes.

'You've met Lui before' Jeff said from behind him. A voice in your head screamed he's pissed. The pain from the spanking returned and you backed away from Lui, the sink hitting the small of your back, sending an agonising pain through your body.

The door bell rang again and Jeff left you two alone together.

'Sorry about the other day, I was trying to make you feel safe. I didn't mean for you to get hurt.' You stayed silent. You didn't know if he was sorry for letting you get hurt, or sorry for getting caught, and you were too scared to want to know the answer.

Jeff returned with a blonde boy. His hair was a soft halo filled with whites and delicate blondes, which surrounded his pale, round face. Some locks reached down to his eyes; clouded eyes that showed once piercing green eyes. But they were now faded and dull. The light never reached them. He looked childish, almost elfish in appearance, and stood about two inches shorter than you. His clothes contained a sickening green,  a green you imagined his eyes once contained. A green that stood brightly against his willowy appearance.

'This is Ben'. Jeff stood almost two heads taller than Ben, whose expression never changed. 'We found him drowned in a river by some burnt out house we were using. We took him in and were going to use him as target practise until the bastard started talking again. He only shut up when we bought him a game.'

Something  about the boy seemed off, the atmosphere around him seemed dead and stale.

You made eye contact with him, and a look of fear took over his face. You knew something was wrong.
