" did you just kiss me ?" I said after he pulled away.

"To get you to shut up yea now listen" he said.

I looked up at him signaling for him to talk.

"Ight so I heard samantha be having other niggas around my daughter and ian havin that so I'm bout to slide to her crib to see what's happening " he said.

I looked at him like he was dumb " and this is what you needed to talk to me about ? "

"Yea cause i ain't want you trippin on me leaving without telling you " he said.

"Nah that's cool I love steph she should be here right now anyway go get her I ain't trippin " I said smiling.

He smiled at me " I remember why I chose you over all them other girls"

I looked down and smiled " why ?"

"Cause you a down ass chick " he said lifting up my chin with his index finger .

"Go get your daughter Alex " I said moving away from him and going back to the party.

I sighed and walked out the house and hopped in my car. I was headed over to where Samantha stay cause I've been hearing niggas be in and out of her crib and I ain't playin that not while my daughter over there.

I pulled up in the driveway and got out. I walked up to the door and knocked after about a minute of standing outside she came to the door.

"Oh it's you " she said rolling her eyes.

"Where's my daughter ?" I asked.

"None of your- I pushed passed her and walked in the house and looked around for Stephanie.

"Where she at ?!"

"Don't fuckin worry about it !" She yelled.

I balled up my fist " it's taking everything in me not to knock yo ass out !" .

She rolled her eyes " Alex get out I'm tryna go to sleep " she said.

" I ain't leaving till I got my daughter with me " I said standing there.

"Mommy please !" I heard someone yell.

Samantha looked upstairs then at me . I ran upstairs and followed crying sounds. I opened a door and saw Stephanie in a cage on the floor. I opened the cage and picked her Up.

"Daddy !" She cried.

" I got you babygirl " I said .

I walked out and went downstairs to find Sam gone. When I find that hoe she done.

I got in my car and buckled steph up in the back.

She was still crying.

I got in the front seat and pulled out the driveway back to my house.

"It's ok daddy's got you now " I said looking at Stephanie in the mirror.

I pulled up to the house and got out and picked up Stephanie and went inside.

The party was still going on.

I closed the door behind me and stated walking upstairs.

"Yo Alex ma- aye why steph crying ?" Mike asked.

I was so mad I couldn't even talk.
He looked down at her "man why she covered in bruises".

"Where's trina ?" I asked.

" ugh out in the back" he said.

"Go get her tell I'll be in my room" I said going upstairs.

I walked in my room and sat down with a crying Stephanie still.

"D-daddy s-she hur-rt me" she cried.

"It's OK baby girl I got you now " I said rubbing her head.

Trina came walking in the room.

"You needed me ?" She said looking at me. Then took a look at stephanie and gasped.

I walked into Alex's room " you needed me ?" I asked looking at him. I looked down at a child and gasped when I realized it was stephanie.

"Oh my gawd what happened to my steph ?" I asked walking up to him and sitting on the floor to look at her.

"Her bitch ass mother been beating her and I found her locked in a cage " he said. I looked at him and just saw how mad he was.

"Where this hoe at ? I really wanna beat her ass " I said getting mad.

"Can you clean her up for me ?" He asked.

"Of course " I said .

As soon as he was about to give her to me she grabbed on to his shirt " no daddy ! please don't leave me ".

My heart felt like breaking this beautiful baby did not deserve anything that happened to her.

"It's ok steph it's just me Trina . you remember me right ? I would never ever everrr hurt you baby " I said placing my hand on her arm .

She looked up at me and let go of Alex. I picked her up and went and started to clean Her up. After I was done I looked through Alex's clothes and found a small shirt,It was makai's. I put her it on her then laid her down.

"Will you be okay ?" I asked.

" I'm scared " she said.

"Why ?" I asked.

" my mommy's gonna come back and hurt me " she said on the verge of tears.

" she's not, I won't let her " I said.

"You promise ?" She said sticking out her pinky finger.

I joined my pinky with hers " I promise " . I kissed her forehead and placed her in the middle of Alex's bed and covered her. I got up and turned around to find Alex standing against the door frame.

"Your the best man " he said.

" awe thanks " I said.

"You handled that great " he added.

"I just love her cute self as much as I love trin and ky , and it hurted me to see her so hurt and sad " I said putting my hand over my heart.

" thank you trin " he said looking down at me.

"It's straight Alex " I said walking away.

"Trina " he called out. I turned around.

"Promise me one thing " he said.

"And that is ?" I asked.

"You'll always be there for me " he said sticking out his pinky finger like steph.

" I promise " I said joining his pinky finger.
