Halloween Special

Mai's POV~

It was a chilly day, wind was blowing the autumn leaves to new places. I was still doing the finishing touches on the Halloween decorations. Monk had gone to get some supplies for our annual Halloween party. We invited the gang, including Naru, Lin, and Madoka. Since we still haven't said anything about Monk's and my relationship to both Naru and Lin (Madoka knows since she visits them here and there) we decided to show little clues about us. But either way this years Halloween party will be fun.

After finishing the last touches, Monk pulled up in his car. Monk got out the car and I headed his way to help him with the bags. "The house looks amazing," Monk said as he gave me peak on the lips. "Thanks," I said as he gave me a few bags.

Once we got the bags inside, we started preparing dinner. Both Monk and I love Halloween, we decorated the inside and outside of our house. We also buy the best candy for the trick-or-treaters too. I can't wait to see the little kids in their Halloween costumes. That reminds me we should hurry up so we can put on our costumes. "Once we're finished here we should get into our costumes," I said as I chopped the vegetables.  "We'll have enough time to put on our costumes, don't worry," Monk said as he tasted the source for the pasta worms.

After about 45 minutes, we finish preparing the food and went up stairs to put on our costumes. For Halloween this year we are... (Comment what you think they are going to be before you go on)

... Batman and Batwoman. Last year we were Jack and Sally which was a lot of work to put on the make-up so we did something simple this year. I had a Batwoman dress that goes above my knees with a cape, knee length high heel boots, and my mask. I put on red lipstick , yellow eye shadow, mascara, and made eyeliner wings. I curled my hair into loose curles. Monk put his hair in to a little pony tail and put on his costume.

*Ding Dong*

"I'll get it," I said as I went down stairs. I looked through the peep hole to see John and Yasu. I opened the door, "Hey guys! Come in." I moved to the side to let them in. Yasu was wearing a Fred Flintstone costume and John was wearing a Barney Rubble costume. "Love your costumes, you two," I said as I closed the door. "I love your costume too, Batwoman," both of them said in unison. "Whoa! You did an amazing job again this year! Your house outside and inside are incredible as always," Yasu said as he looked around. I smiled, "Thanks." "Hey John, Yasu. Glad you guys could make it," Monk said as he came down stairs. "Hey Monk. Thanks for inviting us," John said with a smile. "I thought you guys were going to wear different costumes this year," Yasu said as Monk stood next to me. "Nah. We thought it would be okay to have a couple costume. We also decided to give out little hints about our relationship," Monk said as he wrap his arm around my back. "Hopefully one of these days we can just tell him. But for now it's for the best," I said looking up Monk with a smile on my face.

*Ding Dong*

"Oh that must be the others. Can you get that Monk?" I asked him. "Of course," Monk said as he went to the door. "Can you guys help me empty out the candy bags?" I ask the guys. "Sure Mai," they said as they followed me to the kitchen.

Monk's POV~

I looked through the peephole just to make sure if it's either trick-or-treaters or the others since we still haven't gotten the candy out of the bags. Good thing it's just Ayako and Leo. I opened the door, "Hey nice costumes!" "Hi Monk, thanks for the invite," Leo said as I let them in. "No problem. You guys make a good Erza and Jellal. Especially since Ayako is as scary as Erz-," Ayako hit me with a random purse before I could finish what I was saying. "Hey! What was that for?" I screamed as I rubbed my head. "For saying I look scary when I get mad!" Ayako screamed as a tick mark appeared on her forehead. "S-scary Ayako! Help!" I screamed as I hid behind Leo who was now in the living room as I laugh. "Why you-!" Ayako was preparing to hit me once again with a random purse.
