Camping Nightmare

I open my eyes to see tall trees surrounding me. I get up from the ground looking around to see if I can find a path of some sort. There wasn't one around, I couldn't help but feel a bit strange here. I looked around once again to see fireflies flying in one direction like a path to follow. Slowly I began walking toward that path of fireflies until I felt a very dark presence behind me. I couldn't help but turn around to see red glowing eyes staring at me while I hear a low dark growl. Fear started to consume me as I continue to stare at those red glowing eyes.

"Mika! Run!" I hear as someone grabs me by the hand and makes me run. We ran following the fireflies' path they made. We ran and ran, jumping over fallen trees or crossing rivers. I kept glancing behind us here and there, checking to see if it was following. Every time I did look behind me, I tighten my grip on the person's hand even more. "Don't look back Mika. Just keep running," I hear the person say as they tighten their grip on my hand.

I don't know how long we've been running but I could feel my stamina was running on low. I think the person knew it and it seems like their stamina was running on low too. "Just a bit more Mika. Please don't stop," they pleaded as I responded by squeezing their hand to say okay. We ran till we stopped at a creepy old cabin that seemed like it was preoccupied. Hope was what I was feeling as we quickly went to the door and knocked for our lives.

There was no answer. The person beside me put their hand on the door knob and opened it a bit. The person and I glanced at each other. "Stay behind me," they whispered and I did. The person opened the door more, we entered the cabin to find a horrible scene.

Five dead bodies... No... More like five disfigured bodies with missing body parts... Blood is splattered all over the place. I was too shocked to move. I was like a statue looking at the scene in front of me. Is this going to happen to us? Am I going to die a horrible death like they did? Other questions were going through my mind. Before I knew it a muscular chest blocked the scene in front of me. Arms were around me protectively and without a word tears started to fall as I wrapped my arms around the person in front of me.

I calmed down after a while. "Mika, you trust me right?" The person hugging me asked. "I do, Dai," I silently said. "Do you trust me enough for me to look for stuff while you close your eyes and stay here?" Dai asked me which I replied with a nod. "Close your eyes so I can look for stuff," he said as I did. I let go of him and he did the same. As I was letting go of him the scene that I saw popped up in my mind so did those glowing eyes. Once more fear filled my entire soul. I reached out for him not wanting him to go anymore. I think I was in time since I barely was able to grab a bit of his ripped up shirt. "Mika?" Dai's voice seemed concerned for me. "P-please don't leave me alone," I silently said as I could feel tears forming. "Okay, I won't leave you," he said wiping the unshed tears with what I believe to be his thumb.

He grabbed my hand and started to guide me to probably rooms in the cabin. I kept my eyes closed not wanting more horrified scenes in my head. "Mika I found a big closet that's big like a room. I need you to let go for a bit so I can look around," he said. I didn't say anything, I was hesitant on my answer and he probably noticed. "Don't worry Mika. I won't leave you," he said, "While I look around why don't we talk so you know I'm here." I thought about it for a second then nodded. He let go of my hand and the feeling of letting go was like I lost grip of my life support.

"So Mika, Have you seen the others?" He started the conversation as I hear him searching through stuff. "I was with Kimmy. We were looking for everyone else and then we found Natsume with Akito. We were going to look for you and Ringo but we were chased by something. I guess I fell and was knocked out while everyone else was still running," I said thinking back. Hope their okay.. "Okay I found everything I need and a blindfold," Dai said. "Let's go to the living room," he said giving me stuff to hold then grabbing my hand as he guided me there.
