NARU IS HUGGING ME?!?! I blinked twice, not hugging back, I stood there shocked at his reaction when I told him it was me. His hug was tight but not too tight, it felt like a hug where someone missed their loved one in those chick-flick movies. I looked at Monk and Lin who were beside us, Monk seemed to fighting the urge too grab me and Lin... Lin seemed to be shocked as well which surprised me. "Mai..," I hear Naru say so I looked up. I looked at him and he looked at me, his hands were now on the side of my arms as he stared into my eyes. "Ummmm... Mr.Shibuya would you let go of me?" I say which his eyes seemed surprised but his face expression was like the usual Naru. He let go while clearing his throat, "Sorry. Let's get started shall we." As I turn around I see Monk glaring at Naru, I shook my head and nudge him as I passed him. Monk and I sat beside each other in one of the couches while Lin and Naru sat on the other couch in front of us. "So...," I started saying but got interrupted by Naru. "Why are you here Monk?" Asked Naru looking at Monk who had calmed down. Naru seem a bit mad the way he said that to him. Monk raised a eyebrow at him then looked at me, "Well Mai wanted me to come with her."

Naru looks at me then back at Monk, "I see.. Well since you both are here let's talk business." I looked at Monk a bit confused then I look at Naru, "Alright, I'm all ears Mr. Shibuya." "Why do you keep calling me Mr.Shibuya?" Naru asks a bit annoyed that I'm doing that. To be honest I call him that since I got used to being a bit more formal with people while I'm in case mode, except for the gang since they're family. "Is there a problem with me calling you Mr.Shibuya?" I asked him back. He started to study me, Lin was looking at me like he didn't know who I was. I guess I did become a bit more mature, especially when I started SNR. "I guess there isn't," Monk spoke up, handing me my book as well as getting closer to me. I knew he was going to talk about the case since he already talked about with the gang, so I made Monk put my book in the inner pocket of his jacket. Monk is probably getting closer for emotional support since he knew I had that big high school crush on him. But I got over it within a year, Monk was there beside me. He took me almost everywhere he could think of, I think that I started to grow feelings for him as the days we spent together went by. "What's that?" I hear Naru ask me snapping out of my thoughts. "This?" I holding my book up. "Yes, that," Naru spoke with a bit of curiosity. He must have tried to be his narcissistic self with them, he seems a bit looser now by letting a bit of his emotions show in his voice. "It's my case book, I write things about the case I'm working on," I explained then added, "Like your black note book that you have there." I gesture to the same old black book he had back then on the table in front of him. "Case?" Lin asked looking at me with curious eyes. "Oh I guess you guys don't know. I thought you already knew since you guys seemed to always know everything in the past," I said a bit annoyed with these questions. "Well we did just get here," Lin said looking at Naru, "Anyways what do you mean by case book Mai?" I looked at Monk then at them, "Me and Monk have started our own ghost hunting place. It's called Super-Natural Research or SNR for short if you'd like." Naru and Lin just looked at us like I was lying about it, then Monk took out two of our business cards and gave it to them. Now the believed us, "So you two own SNR? That doesn't look like a cheap place," Naru spoke as he saw the picture of the place since it on the card. "It's not, that's why we live together now," Monk said looking at me with a smile. He then mouth the words 'It's been the best thing that ever happened to me.' which made me smile and I probably blushed a bit too. "You guys what?" Both Lin and Naru said in unison. Monk and I turned around to look at them, I repeated, "We live together now in a house of our own." From the look of Naru's eyes it seemed like I hurt him by saying those words. I really don't wanna stay any longer than we already have. Plus we have the gang coming over in a couple of minutes. I think Monk read my mind since he said, "Aren't you gonna tell her about the case or what? We have somewhere to be in a couple of minutes." Naru cleared his throat and began, "Right.. Well when we were in England before we came back this lady called me for help. She told me that runs a spa hotel and that after one of her employees had found a dead body as they were remodeling the garden, they have been experiencing poltergeist activity, shadows, and some demon activity.I was wondering of course if you would want to investigate, with the team of course. I wrote everything down as he fills me in on the investigation. "I would have to discuss this with the gang of course. Even if Monk and I run the business, we still ask them if they would want to. So I have to get back to you as soon, I might be able to tell you our answer later today. Anyways if we do plan to go, when would we go exactly?" I told him. "If you all say yes we can go as soon as we all can," Naru responded. "Alright well it's was nice seeing you again," I said standing up with Monk. "Yea it was very nice seeing you again..," Naru said a bit sad. We both then left SPR and headed home. As Monk started driving I caught a glimpse of Naru looking through the window of SPR watching us driving off.
As we got home we see the gang already there. "What took you guys so long?!" I hear Ayako say as we got out of the car. "Sorry.. Naru was being weird..," I say apologetically. I felt like he wanted to say more but since Monk was there, he didn't. I wounder what he would have said if Monk wasn't there. "You can tell in side. It's cold out here!" Ayako starts to rub her shoulders. Monk started laughing as he walked toward the front door, "Same old loud Ayako." "I'm not lou-! Loud..," Ayako realized she was being loud which made everyone else laugh as she started pouting. We then walked to the front door as Monk opened the door, I was the last one as we entered. I suddenly felt like someone was watching us, I turned around and saw no one. I turned back and shook the feeling off, ever since that dream I've been feeling a bit weird. I really need to stop thinking of it, or else I'll be acting really weird if we do go with Naru and Lin to the investigation. "You guys watch T.V. as we prepare dinner," Ayako said heading toward the kitchen with Masako right behind her. "Alright," all the guys said in unison. As I closed the door and locked, I head toward the kitchen to help withe the cooking. As I got there Ayako and Masako were already taking out the ingredients. "So Mai spill," Ayako said as she pointed at me with a carrot. "About Naru?" I responded. "That and about what's bothering you lately," Masako said before Ayako opened her mouth. These two know me so well it's kinda scary at times... "Uhhh...," was the only thing that came out of my mouth as I walked closer to them. "Mai," Ayako looked at me with a serious face. I can't never really hide anything from them, "Fine..," I finally said. "First start with what happened with Naru," Masako said. "Sure.. Well when we first entered the place, Naru didn't know it was me. He saw Monk so he asked if I sent him to tell him I didn't wanna come. But I said I'm here, I kept calling him Mr. Shibuya for no reason. He seemed annoyed that I kept calling him that, anyways after I said it was me, he...," I stopped talking. The feeling of Naru hugging lingered as I recalled the memory of it. "He what?" Ayako asked as she came closer to me. I shook off the feeling before I continued, "He hugged me." Both Masako and Ayako had shocked faces, they both looked at each other then at me. "He hugged you?!" Both of them screamed whispered in unison so the guys wouldn't hear but I think Monk is going to tell them sooner or later. I just nodded my head not saying anything as I started to pull out a knife to cut the carrots. "What did Monk do?" Ayako asked as she gave me the carrot she was holding. "It looked like he was going to kill him ,but he hold himself back," I replied blushing a bit at how jealous he can be. "So what else did he say, excluding the case?" Masako said turning on the stove to heat up the pot full of water. "Well.. He did seemed to want to say something, but... He didn't say it cause of Monk being there. I guess," I said as I started cutting the tomatoes after finishing the carrots. "Maybe he's going to get you alone someday and tell you if he doesn't want anyone else to hear it," Ayako said getting the table set. "I hope not," I quickly replied. "Why? Don't you want to know what he wants to say?" Ayako asked looking at me. "I am kinda curious, but I have a bad feeling that if I do something is going to happened," I said remembering my dream as I finished the last tomato. "What do you mean by that?" Masako asked as she put the spaghetti in the pot full of hot water. "Well after the dream I had before getting the email Naru sent to me. I've been just getting a bad feeling about Naru," I said as I getting out the lettuce. "So is that what's been bothering you? The dream you had?" asked Ayako as she put the lemonade in the middle of the table. "Yea...," I said trying not to remember the details of it but failing at it. "What was the dream about?" Ayako asked as she sat down on one of the stools on the other side of the island where I was putting the salad together. "Lets just Monk saved me from getting Married with someone... You guys met him in the morning..," I said not looking up from tossing the salad. "No.. Way..," Both of them whispered. "Don't tell Monk about my dream okay? I'm going tell him later," I pleaded, they both reached out their pinkies and pinky swore to me.

After that we finished getting dinner ready, we called the boys in to eat. As everyone was digging in and talking about our day. I was about to bring up the case Naru was talking about, except Monk brought it up instead. "So what do you guys think? Should we go or not?" Monk asked everyone, which made everyone stop and think for a minute. "Well to be honest I though you to were going make the decision. I mean it is your business," Yasu spoke up as the rest of them nodded. I was kinda surprised they were agreeing with him. I mean yea we did opened up SNR, but they are apart of it. Both me and Monk looked at each other then I looked at them as I say, "Even if we did opened up SNR, but all of you are a part of it. We do ask you about your opinions about each case. So you guys also have a say on this case too." They looked at each other and then say in unison except for Leo and Mason, "Let's do it." "I'll tell Naru later then. Oh and see when you guys can get a break from your jobs. You too Mason and Leo. Even if we are there for work, we might be able to get a treat as we are there," I say to them which made them smile even more.

After dinner, everyone went to the living room and deciding on a movie as I stay in the kitchen to email Naru about our decision. But before I knew it he was calling me so of course I answered it, "Hello?" "Mai?" I hear Naru say. "Yes?" I responded, it seems he thinks that I changed my phone number. "Are you busy?" He asked, I think he can hear the others talking and laughing. "Oh not really. I was about to email you," I say as I go to the backyard so he wont hear the others. "Oh really? Why didn't just call me?" He asks. "Well I didn't know you still had your old phone number," I said, I didn't lie, I mean he's been gone for years who knew he had his old phone number. "Oh... Well why were you going email me?" He asked. "We made a decision to go with you and Lin to the spa hotel, but..," I say not going on. "But what?" Naru seemed a bit annoyed. "But you have to let us investigate like we usually do," I say as I hold my breath for some reason. "Okay." was the only thing I hear him say. "O-okay well I'll talk to you later about the case. Have a good night Mr.Shibuya," I say. "Yea. Good night Mai," I hear him say a bit upset. As I hang up and turn around to go in, I see Monk leaning against the doorway. "You called him?" Monk asked looking at me as I get closer. "No I was going email him, but he called me," I say truthfully. "Oh. So you told him?" He said. "Yea I told him I would call him later to talk about it," I say standing right in front of him. Monk leaned down and kissed me on the lips then he said, "I love you Mai Taniyama. "I love you too Takigawa Houshou," I say.

After going back to the group and watched the movie. Everyone slept over, we have so many guestrooms in this house so it was fine. Monk and I stayed up a bit just hugging each other on bed. These kinds of moments were precious to me, I love him so much. "Mai," Monk whispered. I looked up at him and whispered, "Yes?" He kisses my forehead and says, "I sometimes don't know what's in that head of yours, but I just want you to know I'll be here through thick and thin." He might be noticing that I'm kinda a bit off than usual and it's all because of that dream.. I kissed him and say back, "I know Monk. I'll tell you what's been in my head, okay? Let's go to sleep." I couldn't lie to him, if he found out that I've lied he'll not talk to me for a two week which hurts me. I remembered last time that I lied to him about something that was bothering me, he didn't talk to me for two weeks. It was hard not talking to him and I think it was hard for him too since we lived together so we usually talk all the time. I hope he understands that I love him, or else he'll think I might still like Naru.
