Chapter 4

•| Breaunna's Pov |•

I was awaken by the sound of the vibration of my phone. I quickly grabbed it and seen that is it was a private number I just slide it over to ignore. Then a couple seconds later it vibrated again. I looked at the time and it was 2:43. So I went ahead and answered it.

Bre: Hello...(sleepy voice)
???: Bre...to be call...yo...bu...(phone was breaking up).
Bre: H-hello?
Jacob: Quit talking in yo sleep man (turning over in the bed)

Right then the phone had lit up and was showing my home screen. Whoever it was had hung up. I'm not going to lie I was scared at first. I got up out of bed slowly without waking Jacob and headed to Elle's room to check in her. When I reached her room I cracked the door open and there she was sleeping. I shut her door and head to the front door and checked to see if it was locked. Once I did that I headed back to the room and got back in bed falling fast back to sleep.

I had just got out the shower and was putting some lotion on. Then Jacob walked in with some breakfast on a tray.

Bre: Aww thank you boo (I smiled)
Jacob: I knew you were tired from last night and I knew you weren't going to be able to walk. (Smiles) So, I decided to make you some breakfast.
Bre: Oh my gosh shut up!! (Laughs) but babe.
Jacob: Yea? (Placing the tray on the bed)
Bre: someone called me earlier this morning.
Jacob: Who was it?
Bre: That's the thing I don't who it was it was an unknown number.
Jacob: So you weren't talking to yourself in yo sleep?
Bre: No, and I don't talk in my sleep jackass.
Jacob: Call me a jackass one more time (gets up walking towards me)
Bre: and if I do (putting on my shirt)
Jacob: we gonna fight...(biting his lip)
Bre: Mmm...Jackass!

As soon as I said that I tried to run but he grabbed me by the waist tickling me on my side and we both fell down laughing.

Jacob: So am I still a jackass?
Bre: No...you win. (Catching my breath)
Jacob: That's what I thought. (Kisses my forehead).

My phone was buzzing on the nightstand I got up as Jacob walked out the room. I walked over to it and answered my phone.

Bre: Hello
Zonnique: Hey Bre!
Bre: Hey Nique...what's you been up to?
Zonnique: Well basically I've been getting my singing career up and running. Let's just say its a process. But what about you ma'am. How is it living in New York?
Bre: That's good girl and New York is nice. But when are you and Ray Ray getting married and having kids? (Gets in bed and pulls food tray towards me)
Zonnique: Whoa baby ✋pump your breaks. Who said anything about kids or marriage?
Bre: You know you do so stop playing.
Zonnique: Um, when I'm ready and I'm not.
Bre: Girl you going to be old and wrinkled as a raisin before you get married. With no children or grand kids.
Zonnique: Shut that shit up (said in a laugh)
Bre: I'm so serious you think I'm playing.
Zonnique: Ugh whatever!
Bre: Anyways have you heard from Chres?
Zonnique: Well not really...But Ray Ray said he was going to go by and ask around about him. Bre what if he left and went back to Cali I mean...
Bre: If so I can't say anything...
Zonnique: True...
Bre: Girl, tell me why someone called me earlier this morning round 2 something breaking my damn sleep. But couldn't understand not a word they were saying because their phone was breaking up.
Zonnique: Oh hell nah! 2 something in the morning ?! That's an ass whooping but who was it?
Bre: I don't know it was an unknown number.
Zonnique: Boy or girl?
Bre: Boy
Zonnique: Hmm..that's weird. Well I don't know who it is.
Bre: Oh wow what good help you are (sarcastic)
Zonnique: Omg girl shut up! But I'm ready for Brielle's birthday .
Bre: Me too girl planning this party is stressful.
Zonnique: I bet it is honey but if you need any help I'm here.
Bre: good cause I need you to see if you could get Minnie mouse to come.
Zonnique: Uh, I can try and I'll let you know. But when are you coming down?
Bre: That Friday morning since the party is saturday.
Zonnique: Ok cool...y'all staying with your moms and Chris or a hotel?
Bre: More likely with mom and Chris. After this party I'm going to be on a budget.
Zonnique: I know that's right...well I'm about to go food shopping I'll call you later if I don't forget you know how I am.
Bre: Yes very forgetful...
Zonnique:(laughs) okay boo bye

She hung up and I finished up my food and put my tray to the side. I walked into Elle's room and she is singing and dancing. Then she ran to me and have me a hug.

Brielle: MOMMY!! (Hugging my leg).
Bre: Hey princess (picks her up and kisses her forehead)
Brielle: Mommy I'm sowwy for being bad.
Bre: Okay I forgive you baby. But don't do that anymore.
Brielle: Yes ma'am (kisses my cheek as I let her down)
Bre: Well mommy is going to go to the store for a little bit. So be good for daddy and I might bring you something back.. Okay?

rielle: Ooh okay ! (Dancing)

I walked out her room laughing to myself. I went in my room and put on some shoes and grabbed my purse and phone. I was almost to the door until Jacob stopped me.

Jacob: Ay bre what store you going to?
Bre: nothing particular really... why?
Jacob: Can you go by post office and see if they have my package for me?
Bre: Yea, alright I'll be back.

I finally walk out the condo and headed to the elevator waiting for the doors to open. I got on my phone checking my notifications. I heard the ding indicating the door was about to open. So right when I look up I seen someone I thought I would never see again...
