and in the end

and in the end

as i watch the last rays

of my last sun

disappear into the darkness

i do not reminisce

i do not reflect

i simply lay

and look into the eyes

of those

who were my life

i do not grieve for me

for my time is done

i do not grieve for them

for they have their own lives

and as much as the love is

that they feel for me

i will soon be but a memory

a faded photo

as i watch the last rays

of my last sun
