"Hydra-pocalypse"

fingers coiled like a den of asps

wrung hollow bones 'till they bled

flesh became paper

as the fiery tongues

lapped

cells and organs

burst into flame

as every atom

dissolved into ash

fangs

drained the soul

of its essence

and the mind of its matter

drip by drip

poison seeps

down, down

into the core

as the cold-blooded body

wraps itself around the earth

and suffocates it

wringing out the waters

of life-giving rain

it obliterates the sun

with the fire of its tongues

and dries up the veins

of the moon and her lungs

as the stars dissolve
