Run, just run. That's all I could keep thinking of. But remember the hole. If you don't, you'll fall into the big, dark hole. As I was running and reminding myself of the same stupid nightmare, someone called my name. But that voice. It sounded a lot like Erik. I wanted to look around and check, but if I did that, I might fall into the hole again. He called my name again, but this time I also heard an engine. I stopped to a halt, and couldn't help but look around. And lucky for me, I didn't fall into anything. I only fell in love with a guy called Erik. I walked over to where he was standing. I was about to ask what we were going to do, when I heard someone behind me call my name. I turned my head to see Jordan smiling at me. He started calling me over, but for some reason I couldn't go. I didn't want to leave Erik. I didn't want to lose him again. I wanted him to be here with me. Like it always was. Erica and Erik against the world. I wanted to hop onto my bike and ride away with him. How can Jordan expect me to leave him? What if I go and when I come back, Erik's gone?
I sat up in my bed. I was sweating and I felt lost. Very lost. I was confused. I heard an engine roar outside. I climbed out of bed and ran down the stairs. I heard my mother say hello as I rushed out of the front door. In my pyjama's and slippers. I walked into the garage, and over the roar of an engine, I called, "Dad, what are you doing?"
I saw my dad's head pop out from under a cloth, and he smiled. "Good morning Erica. Sleep well?" He stood up and walked over to where I was. I looked down and didn't stop smiling.
I looked down and replied, "Actually no. I had a bad dream..." I looked up to see his disappointed face, then I asked, "What are you doing?"
He gave a small giggle, and I knew this couldn't be good. "I was hoping you'd ask that. I've got a surprize for you." He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the cloth. "Prepare to be amazed." He did a little jazz hand thing and removed the cloth. And there she stood. My beauty. My pride and joy. My bike. My black and pink KTM 350 SX-F motor cross bike. She was truly beautiful. I missed riding her. But with the whole Erik thing, I didn't want to even look at her. But it felt good to see her clean and shiny.
I brushed my fingers over the base of the bike. I wanted to get on and ride but I haven't ridden in a long, long time so I need to train first. I looked up to see a big smile on my dad's smile, and went to give him a great big hug! I was truly grateful.
My mom came barging into the garage and exclaimed, "Erica Matthews, you are going to be late for school. And Jordan just called to say he is here in a few minutes." My mom turned around and walked away. I heard the front door shut, and gave my dad a last hug.
A few minutes passed quickly. And I was about to grab breakfast, when Jordan knocked on the door. He was going to stop sitting in the gym and was going to actually attend class. So I was going to see the jealous look on Amy Hudson's face.
We walked into the school gates and I couldn't wait to get to my locker. But half way inside the hall, Jay and his ridiculous crew stopped us.
"Jordie boy. Erica," And he reached out to kiss my hand but I kept it to myself. Then he continued, "You know the rules, stay away!"
Jordan opened his mouth when I interrupted, "Excuse me Jay, but you can't organize a fight without the person present. And according to me, I wasn't there." I pushed out my hip and folded my arms. I gave him a wry smile.
He let out a sarcastic sigh, and said in a very girly way, "Fine, we will rematch."
"Uhm, I'm sorry, I didn't say anything about a rematch. There will be no match at all." I grabbed Jordan's arm and dragged him to our lockers. When I couldn't see Jay anymore I finally said, "What's the matter with you? Why didn't you say anything?"
"You didn't give me much of a chance, did you?" He gave me a sweet smile and then we laughed. I babbled the whole time. I couldn't help but laugh at myself.
The day carried on like it did any other day. At lunch, Jordan left for the bathroom.

I was walking to the bathroom when someone grabbed me into the janitors closest. I protested but the person put their hand in front of my mouth. I stayed quiet. Then the person turned me around to stand face to face. Who I suspected to be Jay, was actually Amy.
"Amy? What are you doing?"
"Why are you ignoring me?"
"I wasn't ignoring you..." I mumbled and lied. I actually wanted to stay far away from her.
She looked confused and asked me, "Then why are you hanging out with Erica Matthews?"
He stayed quiet. He didn't know how to explain this to her. "Amy, look, I'm just pretending to like her so that she will leave me alone. Jay is also playing along. Can I ask you to play along too?"
Her face lit up and she said with joy in her voice, "Of course I can!" And with that, she planted a long, soggy kiss on my lips. To be honest, it was gross. Disgusting.
"Okay, I'm glad to hear that. I'll let Jay know, and then I'll see you around." I left the minute I said the last word. This was the weirdest day on planet earth.

Hehe! Freak. Know he doesn't need to stay away from her, Erica will only stay away from him. I got away just in time when Jordan came out. If he found me recording their conversation, he would totally kill me. Not that I won't mind, I'll kill him first anyway. I can't wait to show this to Erica!
