We had flew during the night and the impact left my newly got wings too tired. My shoulders felt unbelievably painful and sore. Gary suggested we fly back to land to have some rest and possibly replenish the lost energy. Our food supply was running out and we needed to get more before continuing the journey.
We walked to a canteen nearby and Gary ordered some oatmeal. I and the other girls scanned through the menu till we could decide what to eat ( there was a lot of my favorites on the menu).
After a nutritious meal, we needed a place to lay our heads after that tiresome fly.
Fortunately not very far, we booked an inn and hurried off to sleep.
At 8:00pm, everyone was up. Gary however the first to wake up. He probably couldn't sleep long knowing some brianiac killers are after us.
The girls and i walked into the washroom and tried to clean up. I tied my hair into a pony tail and stared at my reflection in the miror.
Some days ago i was free to walk about. Go anywhere I wanted to. Now things have changed. I need to meet my suppose-to-be father, a king.
"Khole, is anything bothering you?" Esmerald sounded concerned.
"No, no, i errh... " i quickly thought of saying something else. "I want to conceal my identity, don't you think it's necessary ?", i forced a smile.
Without hesitation i cut my long her short. "Is this okay?", pointing at my hair.
"It's okay" you look a little different " mariela chucked.
"Close your eyes, let us disguise you" Anne boasted.
I managed to look different this time.
Gary flew mightily into the room which gave me a fright.
"Gary, what now?" I questioned him sternly.
"They are here, on the roof..." trying to catch his breath.
We need to leave. We quickly packed and made for the door.
We sneaked out through the backdoor and jumped into the a thick bush.
This time, we are running off for good.
"Khole, we are going to send you to the temple now. We can't waste anymore time" he ended up drawing me into a tight hug.
Luckily for us, we escaped before they could find us again.
