-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a musician, I have many goals. Success is one of them but not the most important one. I think that what most people fail to understand is that musicians want to send a message. They want to make a change in the world. They're not just people with a great voice and an instrument who want to have fun on stage. Okay, not only that. They also want to open people's eyes to something different. They want them to accept being different. They want people to feel.
Musicians do that throughout their songs. They grab a piece of paper, pour their heart out on it and they sing on stage. Some of them cry, some of them even scream and some of them start jumping up and down. They want to convey how they feel.
I think I have succeeded in doing this. I remember that time I cried during one of our concerts during the last tour. Niall was the one who was playing the guitar and he started crying which resulted in me crying as well. A good musician is the one who would feel the song. Who would convey his feelings perfectly.
It's crazy how a few words could make people cry. How one song could bring someone to their knees. How one song could remind someone of long forgotten feelings. Or even how one song could make someone hurt.
Here I was, singing while Isabella was listening to me in admiration. I could see it in her eyes, in her smile and even in her posture. She was leaning in as if she were afraid she would miss a word.
"But if I do, it's you oh it's you they add up to, I'm in love with you and all your little things."
I finished the song and looked at Isabella who was still speechless. She grinned widely before clapping loudly at my performance. Zeus was also very enthusiastic to see his owner that happy that he started barking as well. I must say that Isabella and Zeus were the best audience I've ever had.
"That was awesome." Isabella giggled while looking at the wall behind me a huge grin gracing her face. "You have a great voice, Li." She complimented me and I smiled shyly thanking her.
"Tell me more about your band, Li." She added a few seconds afterwards and I started telling her about us. The lads, our songs and even every lad's favourite colour.
"Why didn't they come with you?" She asked me after I had finished telling her about them. I quirked my eyebrows at her.
"What do you mean?"
She seemed to be confused. Her eyebrows were furrowed in deep concentration and she was pursing her lips as if she were trying to figure something out.
"On your vacation. Why didn't they come with you?" She asked again this time looking more persistent.
I didn't know what to say to be honest. Her question caught me off guard and I tried to figure out a way to get myself out of this.
"Erm... Each one of us headed to their different location. That's all." I answered her and she nodded understandingly.
"Are you going back to them now?" She looked hurt. Sad and heart broken and I hated to be the one who made her feel like that.
"In a few days." I told her and my heart sank as I saw how her expression changed. I've been thinking about my meeting with Hermione and how I had to tell Isabella I was leaving. I didn't expect that reaction though.
