Chatper 10

You stumbled backwards as Nepeta bumped into you.

"SORRY NEP." You say walking away as fast as you could.

You hated him so much it wasn't even funny, yet you knew that everybody was laughing at you. Even strider laughed at you a bit.

Wait... You stop in your tracks. You turn around to see that she was still there staring at the blank wall.

"NEP..." You say walking to her. She didnt move. You poke her and get her attention. She looks at you with those sad eyes that you hated more than Strider.

"WILL YOU STOP BEING SAD ALL THE TIME IM TIRED OF IT." You say poking her more.

She looks at you and forced a smile.

You frown and take her hands making you walk with her.

You walk outside the lab and out of the place to the big cliff. You sit down letting your legs hang and patted the spot next to you.

When she sat down you let out a deep sigh that you had been holding for most of the day. You just needed somebody reasonable to talk to.

"I HATE HIM SO MUCH." You growled balling your fists.

She looked at you in confusion.

"DAVE FUCKING STRIDER. HE THINKS HE'S SO COOL BUT REALLY HE'S NOT." You start but then stop. Nepeta is looking at you with big eyes, and she's smiling a really big smile. You didn't need to let out your anger anymore. You just needed to see your friend smile.

You look back at her and smile a smile that you rarely let break through. You can feel your whole face transforming as you smile even bigger. You have never smiled this big before. It hurt...but you liked it.

There is a memory about smiling that is on the tip of your tongue. But right now you couldn't care right now. You were just really happy.

Nepeta is looking at you with shock and happiness in her eyes. She reaches over and puts her hands on your face scrunching it up and molding it.

"You're.....smiling!" She exclaims becoming jumpy.

You slowly nod your head. You feel your cheeks becoming hotter.

Confused you pull away from her soft hands. Frowning you feel your own face. It felt hot.

Quickly you get up and take a few steps away.

"I....HAVE TO GO...." you say briskly walking away.

You go to your hive and plop yourself infront if your mirror.

Your cheeks are red. They soon fade back to your normal skin color.

She almost found out what color your blood was and you couldn't let that happen.

You rub your cheeks making sure to get the blush away without a trace.

You balled your fists again.

Now you remember why you never smiled like that before.
