Playground Eyes-Jalex

A/U: Basically Zack dares Jack to jump of the swing at the park and falls on Alex. (they're 13 in this beginning of this fic okay)

Alex's POV:

The bell rang dismissing the class of energetic eighth graders. It was a Friday afternoon and everyone couldn't wait to get out of hell, oops sorry i mean school.

"-okay class, that's all for today! Have a great weekend!" Miss. Jackson quickly added before the class ran out, the halls flooded with middle schoolers eager to leave.

"Alex, you wanna head to the playground?" My best friend, Zack, ran up to me as we quickly made our way out the school entry. "You know it!"

We ran to the swings and quickly hopped on, making our way higher into the air with every push. The air containing cool breezes hit my face showing fall was on its way.

"Dude, I dare you to jump off!" Zack screeched smiling still moving his legs. How could I say no to a dare? I'm Alexander Gaskarth, everyone knows I don't turn down dares. I nodded in agreement before preparing to let go.

I quickly got a little more air before releasing my grip from the chains, everything seemed as if the world was in slow motion. I was snapped back in realty when I realized there was a boy standing right where I was going to land.

I tried to call out but my shaking voice was let out too late, I fell right on top of him. Oh shit, it's Jack Barakat. He lives on my block and is always playing with that Rian kid, who Zack has the biggest crush on.

"I'm so sorry, dude!" I quickly got up from on top of him and offered a hand which he gladly took. After brushing himself off, his head lifted and his gaze met mine. I took notice of his adorable blush and hoped I wasn't staring too long.

"I'm Jack,"

"I'm Alex."

"Yeah, I know."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you live on my block and my best friend, Rian, has a major crush on your friend, Zack."

"That's funny, Zack has a crush on Rian, too. Looks like they're hitting it off." I motioned towards the two boys fumbling with a football and exchanging smiles, both blushing.

"Usually I would be really pissed that you fell on me but you're cute so I'll let it slide."

I guess I stood there for a while without saying anything since Jack waved his hand in my face, a puzzled look making its way on his soft face. Cute? Did the Jack Barakat call me, cute?

"Are you okay? I don't know if you're chill with me calling you cute but the truth must be said." I blushed furiously nodding my head in attempt to show it was totally okay to call me that.

I desperately tried to make out words but somehow they managed to get caught in my throat. I wanted to tell Jack that's he's cute too, and maybe come over to my house and play video games.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come over and maybe play video games? I was supposed to go over to Rian's, but let's be real here, they're pretty busy." Jack motioned at the boys play tackling one another, Zack pinning Rian to the ground. I envied the way he talked so confidently while I was trying extremely hard to form sentences.

I didn't want to mess anything up with our newly forming friendship so I just nodded my head eagerly, fumbling with my sweatshirt sleeves, pulling them over my hands.

We made our way towards his house while he rambled on about the newest video game and how he plays guitar, which I find extremely adorable. I added how I also played guitar and sang a little which he replied, "That's so cool! I'm sure you're great, we should practice together sometime.

-FAST FOWARD 2 YEARS-

We were sitting on my bed playing some video games, just dudes being dudes, it was a normal Friday night and neither of us were ready for what came out of my mouth,

"Hey, Jacky, can I ask you something?" My shy personality has not wore off yet, despite being friends for over two years. My voice trembling as I spoke.

"Yeah, babe." I was too familiar with the pet name and wanted it to mean something aside from his naturally friendly attitude.

"Remember when we first met?"

"How could I forget? You came falling from the sky. Probably should of used that cheesy pick-up line about falling from heaven." He shrugged it off, his focus never leaving the screen.

"Did you mean it when you, um, said I was-" I was about to stop talking and brush it off adding, "it doesn't matter, never mind" before he cut me off.

"-Cute? Yeah, I meant it. Still do." At that moment I swear my heart stopped beating and everything was going in slow motion, just like when I was desperately trying to prevent myself from falling on his. I was pulled back into reality as a pair of hungry lips connected themselves with mine.

It soon clicked in my head what was going on, Jack is kissing me. Oh my god, Jack, the same boy I've been crushing on since eighth grade, the same boy I've been friends with for which seems like forever, was kissing me.

I kissed back, wrapping my arms around his neck, he used that as an invitation to make his way on my lap and deepened the kiss. (A/N: I can't write make out scenes so just imagine this is REALLY heated, okay.)

-ONE MONTH LATER-

"Ugh! When is Zack going to be ready? We're going to be late for the movie!" I screamed in complete annoyance as to why Zack always took forever to get dressed. "Probably fucking Rian, is you ask me." Jack muttered scrolling through Instagram.

"Would you like to tell me how we would be fucking if I'm sitting right here?" Rian commented back looking next to him as he spoke to Jack. Which he just shrugged continuing to gaze at his phone.

"Fuck, look how hot he is. Guys, I think Zack and I are going to skip the movie and stay here..." Rian muttered while staring at Zack as he came running down the front lawn to the car.

"No, you're not! We've been siting here forever and we are not going to miss the movie so you and your boyfriend, who made us late, can put his dick in your ass!" This resulted in Rian crossing his arms over his chest and pouting like a small child; he said something along the lines of, "how do you know I'm a bottom" under his breath.

"Hey, baby" Zack entered the car placing a kiss to Rian's lips, "why does Alex look pissed off?" He leaned towards Jack.

"I didn't suck his dick and now he's mad." I just rolled my eyes in response to Jack's immaturity and proceeded towards the movie theatre.

A/N: OKAY THIS WASN'T THE BEST AND IM SORRY BUT I'VE BEEN REALLY BUSY BUT AFTER TOMORROW I WILL HAVE MORE TIME TO WRITE BECAUSE IM TAKING A TEST FOR A SCHOOL I WANT TO ATTEND AND I'VE BEEN STUDYING FOREVER OKAY!!
