"Oh, Tom! Never leave me ever again! I need you in order to breathe!" The girl on the screen said as she clutched onto a tall buff figure while she buried her face in his chest.
He looked down at the brunette as the sounds of her sobbing became louder then the cheesy emotional music in the background. "Every beat my heart would beat, would be solomly for you," The man said as he put his hand on the girl's hair as he lightly stroked it.
The audience quickly burst into "Awh!"'s as I rolled my eyes and snuck into the maroon chair. It was corny lines like that, that steered me away from romantic films. The next ten minutes of the movie ending was pretty much just the male and the female characters holding eachother and saying what the media and teenage girls looked forward too. Many girls in my school find it odd that I hate romantic comedies and love stories and they asked me stupid questions like; "Oh, do you even like any movies at all?" and the most popular question? "How can you not LOVE Twilight?"
I'm not trying to be a Debby Downer, but I never got interested in romantic things at all. I did not have a naturally romantic brain. I do like movies, like Moulin Rouge and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. But I just never like cheesy romantic movies. Then people stop me right there and say "Moulin Rouge is a romantic movie!" Why, yes it is. But it's not full of corny pickup lines guys'll steal and use on me.
Soon the credits started to roll as I got up and stretched my arms. I was preparing for Caitlynn to blabber about all the cute scenes to the group and ask which was their favorite. After we all exited the theather my prediction was correct. I zoned out as soon as Caitlynn started talking as my eyes noticed someone across the movie theather lobby. He was extremely tall and seemed to be looking over everyone in the lobby.
I started studying him, trying to infer why I couldn't look away. Something about him, maybe his eyes, his blank expression, or the fact that he didn't seem to be doing anything besides scanning the room. As soon as I glanced up to his eyes, something made him look over at me and he caught my gaze and locked eyes with me. His eye color was truly adnormal in a way, it was a mint green color mixed with a bit of gold near the pupil.A smirk danced it's way onto his face.
A hand started waving in my face, causing the connection of his and my eyes to break. "Chrissy?"
I flinched from me being in what seemed like a trance. "God, Markus. You scared me," I placed my hand on my heart.
"Ha, sorry. Forgot you were easy to scare. But everyone is getting ready to leave. Need a ride home?" Markus asked as chuckled.
I looked over at the tall figure again, whose gaze never fell from me. "I'm okay. I'll walk home. But thanks for offering, though. See you in class tomorrow," I responded as I lightly smiled.
Markus nodded as he sent a half smile my way as he stuffed his hands into his pockets and walked over to Breanna who looked quite upset. I glanced around the room for the figure again, but my eyes couldn't seem to find him. My face dropped as I placed my hands in my gray and yellow striped hoodie's front pockets as I walked out towards the door.
I left a pair of hands rest on my shoulders. My head quickly looked back to see who was holding me.
"It's not polite to stare," The person said. When I looked over at him it was the figure. The tall man who I couldn't stop looking at. He half smiled as he steered me out of the front door.
I was shocked, confused, and extremely scared. "Excuse me for asking, but who the hell are you?" I asked as I ended up leaving the theather lobby. The night was cold, dark, and mysterious. It seemed like the setting for a murder scene in a movie or a novel.
"Does that really matter, Christine?" He asked as he moved me over to what looked like a really nasty truck, the kind that you would see on Craigslist being sold for $600. He opened the front door and moved the seat up, revealing a clutter filled back seat along with suspious red spots.
"Um, yes. It does. Wait, h-how do you know my name?" I asked, so many thoughts were running through my brain. One thing was certain. I knew I was going to be raped, murdered, or stabbed. All of which weren't on my To-Do list for this day.
His gripped tightened on my shoulders as I tried to wiggle out of his extremely crushing grasp. I felt his knee hit the small of my back, causing me to fall onto the floor of the truck. A bruise already started forming from where his knee hit. His hands pushed me over and he leaped back into the truck as he slammed the door behind him.
"P-P-Please. Don't. My brother is home and most likely is worried sick about me. P-Please, just let me go," I pleaded as he picked me up and threw me on the back seat. I felt a weight being lifted from my pocket as my phone slid on the ground. I quickly lurched for it, slamming my head into the passenger seat. Pain filled my head and I reached for my phone. The second my fingers grazed it, the man grabbed it from me. Tears filled my eyes quickly, I knew I wouldn't live. This might be my last few minutes alive.
He groaned. "Look, this will be extremely quick and I'm really exceedingly sorry about this. Oh, you're not dying or shit. Or getting raped," He told me as he chuckled attractively under his breath.
"So, what are you going to do?" I asked, being slightly glad that if he was telling the truth, I could call the police because I'd be alive.
Before he answered his put his lips to my neck, slowly opening his mouth. I felt my neck tense up as his ice cold lips touched my skin.
"This," He said as I felt two sharp pinches in my neck. A warm tear fell from my eye and rolled down my cheek. Blood slowly was escaping my neck. Then, a punch of reality hit me in the face as if I was boxing. Vampires existed, and I was a vicitim.More and more blood departed from my neck as I slowly began to relax.
I felt my head start to spin as more and more blood evaded out of the vein on my neck. He slowly pulled away and looked over at my with an angry expression.
"Crap, are you okay?" He asked, a scared expression on his face.
I couldn't talk. Too much blood was drained. The area of the inside of the truck was spinning.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit. We need to go," He panicked as he leaped into the front seat of the truck and looked around. I held my neck in pure pain and agony as I heard the sound of the passenger's car door open and another figure got into the car.
The figure that recently got into the car turned to me and moved his seat up, in order to sit next to me. "Damon, what did you do?" He asked, he voice commanding.
"She didn't show any signs that I had to stop sucking blood!" Damon screamed back. Damon started the truck and pulled out of the parking space, quickly driving away.
"Excuse my brother's pure stupidity. I'm Aiden, you are?" The other man asked as his eyes looked into mine gently.
"Christine," I answered. Aiden slowly started undoing the plastic of a band-aid and placed one red band-aid on one of the holes on my neck that Damon's teeth caused.
I began to observe Aiden. He could tell I was, I knew it. A light smile played on his face as he put another band aid on my neck. He blew his dark brown bangs out of his face whle his unnaturally blue eyes glanced into mine.
"You should be fine, Christine. We'll take you back to our house and keep you there for two days. You'll be fine, we aren't killers or rapists. Just vampires," Aiden remarked and he pulled his hands from my neck. "Damon is just stupid,"
I chuckled quietly. "He is, isn't he?"
"Will you both shut up? You're not helping," He demanded as he ran his fingers threw his brown hair.
Aiden smirked. "Some people never learn proper manners. Like Damon. Christine, you can go to sleep for right now. It might take a while to get to our house." He said, no sign of panic in his voice.
I closed my eyes and placed my heavy head on the armrest of the left seat of the truck, slowly drifting asleep.
