Damon quickly slammed the door behind him as we entered the house. I looked around the bottom floor, my eyes searching for Aiden. I didn't know where anyone's room was, including my own. My eyes drifted over to Damon who's head was in his hands.
"Damon? What's going to happen?" I questioned, placing my hand lightly on his forearm as his hands dropped back down to his sides.
His eyes locked with mine. "I don't know, what makes you think I would know? Go ask Aiden or something. I knew I should've gone with you. I'm so fucking stupid. I should've known that you would run into someone,"
"Damon," I said slowly, looking down. "It's my fault. I should've known that I would run into someone."
Damon sighed loudly as he walked away from me. Mumbling a 'whatever'.
I quickly darted around the bottom floor of the house, glancing around for Aiden. I peered around doorways and hallways. No sign of him. I turned around and got stopped by a tall figure.
"Chrissy? What are you looking for?" Chance said, glancing into my eyes. "Is something wrong?"
I nodded sadly. "Something is wrong. I need to talk to Aiden. Where is he? Wait, I thought you had plans,"
Chance smiled. "Got canceled. He was going hunting with his family last minute. But I think Aiden's in his room. It's upstairs, first door on the left," Chance directed as he put his hand on the small of my back and pointed towards the staircase. "But what's wrong?"
"Either come with me or ask Damon. But I highly doubt he'll want to talk to anyone," I guessed. I made my way up the staircase. As I nearly reached the top I looked behind me, noticing Chance behind me. I walked up the rest of the stairs and lightly knocked on Aiden's door.
"Yes? Who is it?" I heard a mumble say from the other side of the door.
"It's Christine. I have to tell you something," I responded.
The door twisted opened and it revealed Aiden. His blue eyes looking down into mine. A slight bit of fright in them. He lead Chance and I in his room. I noticed Aiden taking a seat on the loveseat adjacent to his bed, so I sat next to him.
"You look quite upset. What happened at the mall?" Aiden questioned.
I took a deep breath and looked over at Chance, who was awkwardly leaning across the dresser with his hands shoved in his pockets. "I was spotted at the mall. By my friend, Caitlynn."
The look in Aiden's eyes switched from fright to sadness. "Is she a gossip?"
I nodded. "I had to turn my phone off when I was in the car because of the messages I was getting. Each of them saying 'You lied to us?' 'Chrissy, I heard you were at the mall from Caitlynn. I thought you were in New York' and stuff like that,"
"Want me to get Damon?" Chance asked, pointing towards the door.
"No!" I quickly answered, my tone making Chance do a double take. "He's just blaming himself right now. After this talk, I'll go try to talk to Damon."
"Christine," Aiden said with a harsh voice. He took my hands. "This is really bad. After the news gets around people will ask more questions. Depending on how quickly this gets out of hand, we might have to relocate,"
I removed my hands from his cold touch and looked down. "Why can't you just drop me off at home? I'll tell my mom I was visitng a friend,"
"If only it were that simple, Chrissy," Chance said, crossing his arms. "People will wonder why you lied. Which will only cause more and more questions. Relocating might be the only answer,"
