Chapter 3
Nick's POV
"Nick this is a terrible idea," my oldest brother advised me.
"I think it's a terribly great idea," Joe pinned in. Kevin gave him a look.
"Yes Joe, I think stealing her parents truck is a great first impression to becoming Shay's boyfriend." Kevin rolled his eyes.
"You guys, it's going to work, trust me," I advised them while putting on my coat. They both stood there and stared me down.
"Ugh, go get Shannon. I'll meet you there," Kevin sighed while picking up the truck keys Joe had stollen earlier.
Once I got to her backyard, I stared up the tree that stood right outside her bedroom window. Well here goes nothing...
"Yo Nick! Are you ready man?" Joe called up to me.
"Yeah, I'll be right down, just give me a minute." As I sat on Joe's bed, I placed my shoes on. Oh God, I hope this works. Before heading down stairs, I took one last glance at myself in the mirror.
Joe met me downstairs and placed his hands on my shoulders while he walked me out.
"You are so tense, just relax and put this all in God's hands or should I say Kevin's. Because I know they're both looking out for you. "
"Gee thanks, the last thing I need is to put this in Kevin's hands..I barely trusted him after cleaning the house as kids, while he dropped mom's vase and told her it was my fault." Joe chuckled then spun me around to face him.
"Kevin loves you, he'll know what's best for you. You have to trust him this time." I inhaled realizing he's right, I only hope he doesn't drop this. Possibly my only chance to make things right.
Soon enough I was outside our bedroom, ironically staring up at a tree. Well here goes nothing...
