The streets of Paris had me in awe. I don't even know if I should consider it a street since there seemed to be a narrow stream of glistening water in the middle of it with an occasianally stone bridge over it. The lights were colors of all sorts reminding me of a Christmas wonderland. I felt as if I were a young child again. The trees stood tall and strong without a branch out of place. This place was literally a dream, soon to be a nightmare. I frowned at the thought that we weren't going to be here for long. "What's wrong?" Matty asked. I hadn't even noticed that he was staring.

"Nothing. I'm fine." I reply giving him a reassuring smile. Matt gladly returned one, squeezing my hand. How long have we even been holding each others hands? I slowly pulled my hand away due to the awkwardness. This only caused Adam's words to burn into my mind again. You don't want to end up like Amelia. It only made me feel stupid and full of fear. Besides Adam's words replaying in my head there was also a lot of 'what ifs' also played in my mind.

The sights of Paris seemed like a blur to me. I stared into the beautiful city taking a sip of my tea every so often. A hand was placed on my shoulder causing me to jump slightly. I put my hand on my chest to keep my heart at its normal rate. "God Matty! You scared the hell out of me." he cringes then chuckles.

"Sorry, Ari." I looked up at him to smile for a quick second, then looking back out of the window. All this very moment I felt like a nursery kid who wanted to go outside and play in the rain, but my father wouldn't let me since he was scared that I'll catch a cold. I took another sip of my tea, gripping onto the handle with my little boney fingers. It was starting to get cold which caused me to frown. I guess I'm not that thirsty anymore.

I got up from the chair stretching my legs. My loose white socks gave me advantage to slide across the squeaky clean floor, of the loft that Matty was renting. I poured out the tea into the sink and washed and dried the mug. But since I was too small I couldn't reach the cupboard. A body pressed against the back of mine grabbing the mug and placing it in the cupboard. My heart beat quickened. He seriously needed to stop scaring the heck out of me! I began to feel very uncomfortable when he kind of just stood there. Those 'what ifs' came back to my mind, causing another shiver to run down my spine. Matt noticed the awkwardness causing him to put space between us both.

"Ariana I'm sorry I put you in this situation." he said, barely over a whisper. I shook my head telling him it wasn't his fault.

"You're protecting me remember?" I let out a small laugh to shake away to awkwardness. It failed though, due to the intense look Matty was giving me. All he did was walk towards me and stop about an inch from my face. He gave me a small guilty smile, playing a kiss on my lips. My eyes widened at his actions, but quickly fluttered closed. He pulls away slowly, walking into his room without a word. I just stood there, watching him as he left. What just happened?

Matty's POV

I walked into my room shutting my door, then laying my back against it. She's too much like Amelia to the point where I close my eyes. It's just the same person that I see. I reached into my wallet, taking out the Polaroid picture of us both messing around. I remember that day just as if it just happened two minutes ago. It was the day before she was...gone.

I had bought her a the camera the day we went out in town. We were on the hunt from my company, just like Ariana and I now. Anyway, we went to all these different shops; she stopped at one. Amelia stood there in front of the huge glass window staring at the cameras in awe. I asked her if she wanted one. But she refused, but it was obvious the real answer was yes. We went to the coffee shop not long after that. I told her to wait while I 'grabbed something from the car'. When I really went back to the store. Amelia and I made our way back to house we were staying in, she sat on the couch as soon as we got there. I started thinking that it would be the perfect time to give her the gift. I grabbed the bag sneaking up behind her. She tensed up, but soon relaxed when she realized it was me.

"Matty, what are you doing?" she giggles. I smiled and set the bag onto her lap. I peeled my hands off it so she could open it. Her reaction made me grin at the moment. "No!! You didn't!!" she squeals in happiness. She shot up from the couch hugging me tightly. I laughed as she took funny pictures of us. Later that day, I told her I love her. She just stared at me not knowing what to say, causing me to feel like a stupid idiot for saying anything at all.

"Uhh Matt..im going to go outside for a quick refresher." she says, quickly walking towards the front door. Opening it. Once she left I punched the wall, making my knuckles throb in pain. I pulled my hair furious at myself. That's when I heard a bloody scream from outside. Causing me to panic. I looked everywhere to see no one. She had left; I was broken into 1000 pieces. Left broken..

To be honest, I don't really know what happened to her. I kept telling myself that she was taken away by my company, but who knows? I walked into the kitchen grabbing a drink from the fridge. I walked towards Ariana's room, looking through the crack in her door. She had passed out on her bed, shivering. I set down the drink on the nightstand, grabbing a blanket from the corner and then setting it on her. She smiled slightly, still asleep. I grabbed my drink once again walking out, before I could exit I turned around to stare at her. Not in a stalkerish way, I was studying her face. She looked practically like an angel. I had wanted to say those three words to her all day, but I stopped myself from doing so.
