We had been walking for hours it seemed. Our souls were lost in the vast darkness with no way of getting out. All we could do was worry about Hakkai and the others. It had been forever and they didn't come find us. The air around us became very heavy and tense; something told us that we weren't alone anymore. Gojyo shoved me into the wall and patted me on the shoulder twice, signaling me not to say anything. Gojyo and I had been recklessly working on silent code during the long jeep ride. Who'd of thought that it would come in handy? Two moments had passed before the ground began to shake. There was a big being in the room that was slowly approaching us. I could feel Gojyo tighten his grip on my shirt, as if he were ready for anything. The being was really close to me now. I could smell his foul breath as he exhaled on my face, forcefully shoving my bangs backward. He stood there silently for a moment, then shifted his direction to Gojyo. He sniffed him vigorously and studied him just like a lion. No matter how tense it got, Gojyo didn't move a muscle. I could feel my nose begin to tingle and tried my hardest to ignore it. I gave Gojyo the signal 'something's wrong' by tapping him with all the tips of my fingers. The tingle in my nose got worse so I desperately grabbed my nose. The being shifted his gaze at my sudden movement and began to lick my arm with it's heavy tongue. The tingle wouldn't go away and forced me to let out a very liquidized sneeze towards the being. The being then moaned and ran away further into the darkness. "Guess that's one way to get rid of a big scary beast." Joked the water sprite. He swiftly adjusted my bangs and tucked them properly behind my ear. I didn't reply and gave him a heart felt smile. The red head chuckled and suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. "I'm getting a little worried about the others." he mumbled with concern. I gave the kappa a hug and stared him in the eyes. "Don't worry. I'm sure they'll be just fine." Gojyo darted me a confused look. "I'm not talking about their safety. I'm worried about them slacking off and celebrating instead of getting us out of here!" I pinched Gojyo's arm tightly and shook my head. "Ya know, you can be so selfish at times." I knew deep down that Gojyo was hoping that they weren't in any trouble. It was just in his nature to be concerned about the safety of others. "Seichi? Is that you?!" Yelled the golden eyed monkey. I turned my head and saw Goku's golden head band in the distance. "Is that you, ya stupid monkey?" Barked Gojyo with a little relief. The bright eyed monkey dashed over to us yelling to the others where we were. I shifted my glance over to Hakkai and was instantly relieved. "It's about time you guys got down here." Teased the clever Kappa. I was so tempted to give the priest a hug but I fought my temptation and hugged Hakkai instead. "Thank goodness you guys came! This place is so creepy! I never would've anticipated a puzzle like this!" I said while releasing Hakkai from the grateful hug. "Yeah. And to think... This place was only a spooky mansion yesterday." Agreed Gojyo. I was so happy that we were all together again, but my heart sunk at the thought of us still being trapped in a never ending pit of darkness. "So... How do we get out of here, Hakkai?" I questioned him, hoping that he had a solution to get us out. Hakkai laughed nervously and scratched his head. "I tied a rope to a door knob, but when we were halfway down... It got untied..." explained Goku in a whiny tone. "I could've sworn I tied it tightly!" I heard Sanzo give out a long sigh and give himself a face palm. I knew that it wasn't a logical decision, but they must've put something together quickly and not think of the repercussions. I gave them a reassuring laugh and patted Goku on the head. "It's alright! At least we're all together again." Gojyo did not look amused in the slightest. "Tch! Yeah, to hell it's alright if you want to stay down here forever! Way to go ya stupid monkey! Now how are we gonna get out of here?!" That was a good question. Gojyo and I were trapped down here for hours and we couldn't find a way out. "Well... We won't figure a way out by just standing here." I informed them. "Come on. Let's get a move on. I'm sure we'll think of something."
We were walking for so long that I could hardly lift my feet up. The others seemed to walk sluggish just like I was. "You guys..." mumbled the monkey. "I'm hungry..." for some reason, I got incredibly angry at Goku for even letting those words come out of his mouth. I was so fed up of hearing him complain repetitively that I felt the need to tell him about himself. "Shut up already!" I yelled as I glared Goku directly in his eyes. "No one cares about how hungry you are! Don't you think that repeating the same phrase over and over will get old and boring after a while?! We're hungry too, but do you hear us complain about it? NO! So shut your ass up, and quit complaining before we don't feed you at all!!!" I was breathing heavily and I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. "Seichi. Calm down." Hakkai enlightened me. "Don't let the effect of this Mansion take you over and cause you to lash out towards others." I surrendered and apologized to Goku. My pride was severely damaged but I looked passed it and moved on. It's weird... Whenever anyone gets corrected by Hakkai... It's pretty... Embarrassing. "Can we take a break... I don't know how long I can go on." sighed the fatigued Kappa. "Sure, Gojyo. Whatever the master wants." I joked, sarcastically. Gojyo pulled out his lighter and lit up a cigar. I casually sat next to Gojyo and leaned on his shoulder. "What if the beast smells your cigar smoke, Gojyo?" I didn't really care at this point. I felt like whatever wanted to kill me could kill me. I wouldn't even put up a fight. "Yeah? Well... I don't know. Cut me some slack. I need nicotine!" yelled the cockroach, defensively. I didn't blame him. "Hey... Let me have a smoke." I shrugged at Gojyo. Maybe if I took a smoke, I could stop thinking about what I didn't have. The kappa drifted the cigar out of his mouth and gently placed it between my fingers. "Don't use all of it." he smirked at me. I then wrapped my lips around the end and slowly inhaled the smoke into my lungs. It wasn't my ideal type of smoke, but I would manage. "Well... They're not Marlboro." The cockroach took my statement to offense and snatched the smoke right out of my mouth. "Well if that's what you're after, talk to Cranky Sanzo."
