"Stop it." I warned the kappa. "We're too tired for this." I knew that Gojyo was a little uneasy because of the environment we were surrounded by, so I brushed off his out burst. A few moments later, we began to hear snoring coming from the fatigued monkey. "What the hell do you think you're doing, stupid monkey?" Barked the blonde. He seemed irritated at the fact of how the monkey could sleep but he couldn't. "Wake your... lazy ass... up..." the monk soon joined the monkey in his slumber and let out a soft snore. Hakkai rose up and scanned the area trying to figure out what was causing this sudden fatigue but collapsed a few seconds later joining them. I quickly stood up and yelled Gojyo's name. Gray like snakes were crawling in and around the sleeping corpses leaving a slimy trail behind them. "What the hell is going on here?" Exclaimed the kappa. "Gojyo!!! Get those things off of them!" The way the snakes slithered in and out of their eye sockets made it uncomfortable to watch. Gojyo quickly dashed towards the monk and yanked two of the snakes off of him. As he manhandled the snakes, I quickly dragged Sanzo away from the havoc. Once we were at a safe distance, I glared at the water sprite on the ground as the snakes sunk deep into his body. "Seriously?" I mumbled to myself. "Why do I have to be alone in the dark?" My hands seemed to have a mind of their own and they began to investigate Sanzo's body. They glided over his smooth face and skimmed through his soft blonde hair. I instantly began to feel my face leaning forward, closer to Sanzo's face to kiss him. As we were an inch apart, Sanzo instantly sat up with a violent cough behind him. "Sanzo!" I yelled while acting as if nothing had happened. He tried to speak but each attempt made his coughs worse. I instinctively patted him on the back in hopes that whatever was choking him would come out. A huge splatter of blood spread on the ground. "Sanzo! Please... don't die!" I hugged him tightly from behind and my arms instantly began to glow a bright blue. Something told me to touch his heart and my hand phased through everything. I could see little baby snakes chewing at his heart vessels causing him a lot of discomfort. I looked at Sanzo and gently tapped his heart causing a ripple of light to spread across his entire body, making the snakes explode on contact. He let out one last cough and little grey pieces and chunks were seen in the puddle of blood. I curiously touched his heart again and began to see flashes of his past. He and his master were sitting outside the dojo on a nice fall evening. His master was peacefully sitting on the porch dragging on his cigar. "Kouryuu." His master closed his eyes and let out a cloud of smoke. "I'm going to need you to be on your best behavior at the meeting tonight." I looked to the right and saw Sanzo's younger self sweeping the leaves off of the porch. He angrily clinched the brooms handle and gritted his teeth. "Why should I master? They're always mean to you." I smiled at how young and cute he was. A feeling of regret hit my throat from the insult I gave him years ago. His Master opened his eyes and smirked at him. "Sometimes, you have to pick and choose your battles." Sanzo grabbed my arm and looked at me with irritation. "How long were you planning on keeping your hand in there?" I quickly removed my hand and blushed to myself. I gave him a tight hug. As I hugged him, I could feel everything he was going through. He was tired of waking up having to fight demons everyday. He hated straying away from his mission for so long, forcing him to take longer to get to his destination. He hated having to keep Goku and Gojyo in check everyday. And most of all.. he missed his master. Everyday he blames himself for his masters death and ponders over the fact of how he could've saved him... but he didn't. I could feel tears starting to slowly drip down my cheeks. "Thank you so much Sanzo... I just... Thank you." I slowly released him from my grip and wiped my eyes. "We should get going." Mumbled the monk. "How are we going to carry Goku, Gojyo and Hakkai?" The monk seemed to get infuriated at the mentioning of their names and began walking off. "I aint carrying those idiots! The sooner we get out of here the better!" I felt deprived and alone; the monks footsteps had disappeared and I was by myself. "Sanzo...! Wait up..." I closed my eyes to keep myself from crying again and considered the thought of not being babied. A few moments later, I began to hear footsteps approaching me. The clapping of heels tapping the ground grew louder and louder, pinching my ear drums. "If you're looking for an exit... There is none." Whispered the slim lady. She looked like the girl from my trance that was drinking the blood of a man. Her dark purple hair flowed to a breeze of its own and her eyes gleamed with a bright green light. "Hm? Seichi? What are you doing down here?" She kneeled and looked me directly in the eyes. "I wasn't expecting you to be down here! Oh wait... I did!" She giggled to herself while roughly grabbing my hair, pulling it back forcing me to keep eye contact. I bit my lip at her and gave her a look of confusion. "I see you're confused." She stood back up while grabbing my hair with her, nearly ripping off my scalp. "How cute!!!" Anger arose in her voice as she threw my head against the wall. "Don't act like you're the victim here, Seichi!" She was talking through her teeth now. I didn't know why she was mad at me. I could see Sanzo glaring at me from a distance just out of sight which gave me a hint of relief, knowing that he was alright. The rest of the group was sitting up right against the wall keeping quiet. They knew it was something I had to handle by myself. "Ganah...?" I mumbled under my breath. She didn't look surprised. "Well, you figured out who I am. Congrats." She stared at me deeply for a moment and hesitated. "Come on. Don't look at me like that. I know I look way different, but only because you made me this way. Remember?" I couldn't move my lips to answer her; I could only stare at her fierce green eyes in sympathy. "ANSWER ME!!!" She punched me across the face three times and grabbed my collar. "Do you remember how you treated me back then?! Do you?!" She instantly punched right through my stomach and broke two of my ribs. "Where do you think our family went, Seichi? Hm!? Oh... that's right... I killed them all!!!! For you!!!" Tears were forming in her eyes now, but her attitude grew even more dangerous. "You were a monster!!! And I loved you!!" I remembered now. I was a total bitch to her and I thought everything was all green and peachy. All those years it was hidden from me... as if someone one blocked my memories from conflicting with my daily life. I never meant to be that way. I loved her with all my heart and I still do.
