Sophia Pov

Gulping loudly I just stood frozen taking it all in each stare, murmur, whisper, lustful or vengeful gaze. It was all just too much when I turned around and hid my face in Theo's chest which caused him to chuckle lightly but he must have felt my discomfort for he hugged me protectively causing me to somewhat relax.

"I am really sorry gentlemen for involving you all in my personal affairs but as you can see my girlfriend and I had a small issue that needed to be addressed" he was barely keeping his laughter in check while gently rocking me.

To which all started to laugh but I still refused to look at them. I was mortified.

"Hey it's okay, we totally understand and it's nice to finally see that you are also a human like us mere mortals" someone said to which Theo started to laugh heartedly

"Oh trust me, Sophia is the only person I do act human around" as if trying to assert his previous position with them, meaning this slight encounter with me was with me exclusively!

I liked that...

He nudged me softly to turn around and after taking a few deep breaths which were clouded by his alluring cologne I turned around and was extremely uncomfortable.

"Hello?" I asked in a small voice but I could see almost all of them took this incident in a light manner for they were older than us and probably we just reminded them of their youth.

Key word here Almost all!

I was still clutching his white dress shirt tightly but his firm hold on my waist is what kept me from melting to the ground.

"So the Beast does have a heart after all!" One of the men declared "and here you kept us all wondering for all these years.

"What can I do when you're smitten, you're smitten" Theo retorted while gently stroking my back.

A woman in a navy suit eyed me up and down before announcing.

"Mr. Andreadis, let me tell you one thing, I think I never thought I'd see the day where you were scolded and by a woman?" She carried on tauntingly with poison lacing her words to which he stiffened and moved me slightly behind him.

"Mrs. Rodriguez let me assure you such a person hasn't been born yet!" He replied smoothly.

"But please don't mix-up sexual banter between lovers with real life situations. And as for my lovely girlfriend she has all the right to be angry with me" He lifted my chin and looked deeply in my eyes.

"I broke a promise to her and I hold myself completely responsible for the repercussions whatever she may choose them to be" he let go of my chin and faced her

"But then again how could I expect a woman to understand that when her own husband has been caught cheating twice" he added smugly.

Silence...

"Well... I ... um...I'll leave you guys to complete your meeting" I said as I scurried out of the room and ran upstairs hoping to find the bedroom I was in previously.

Finally with some good luck by my side I was in the bedroom and hiding beneath the covers trying to catch my breath and calm my burning cheeks down.

After God knows how much time I must have fallen asleep for I woke up with insistent nudging to my shoulder.

"Huh...?" I asked groggily
"Wake up sleepy head" he ordered softly while pulling the covers off me.
"Go away. I am never getting out of this room" I threw the covers over my head again.
"Very childish don't you think?" He asked amusedly.
