Chapter 26
"Where are you going?" Asked Sakura when Sasuke walked up to the door on a Monday afternoon. He turned around. "Training."
"You didn't even eat yet!" Answered Sakura surprised. "And you already trained the whole day!!" Sasuke looked at her for a while. "I'll be training with Lee. It's going to be late so just go to bed when you want to." His eyes trailed down to her tummy. "You'll be ok?"
"Of course I'll be ok, just go." Sakura turned around and walked back into the living room. Sasuke sighed and went out for his concert.
"Paper..." Sakura mumbled, while picking up a pen. When she found paper and envelopes, she quickly wrote a letter. Sasuke's out. I can stay gone the whole evening and even come back tomorrow. What do you think? And tell Itachi please! -x- Sakura.</i>
She pushed it in an envelope and wrote Deidara's name on it. She immediately felt the bird sitting on her shoulder. She gave him her letter and he flew through the open window.
Then, she just made herself some food and watched some TV. After a while she got bored, so she phoned Ino, but she got the voicemail. Also with Tenten and Hinata. And Naruto.
"Where is everyone?" Mumbled Sakura while she threw the phone through the room. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. Sakura stood up and walked to it, surprised. There didn't came a lot people to the Uchiha neighbour because only Sasuke – and Sakura – lived there. She pulled the door open.
"Hell- ...Deidara-san?"
"Write a note that you're staying with a friend or something, yeah." Said Deidara, while looking at her from under his hat. Behind him stood his enormous bird from clay. "And bring your scrolls, yeah." Sakura nodded and ran back inside. She quickly wrote a note saying that she stayed over with Ino, although she knew Ino wasn't home. "But Sasuke doesn't know either." She mumbled, and made sure she had the scroll with her rapport with her. She ran back to the hall. Deidara pulled her outside and closed the door. "Hop on, yeah."
Sakura stared at the bird, not really sure how to 'hop on', as Deidara had said. Deidara grinned when seeing her so insecure. "Need help, yeah?" He asked. Sakura nodded. "That would be very handy..."
Deidara wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up, placing her on the bird. He sat down in front of her and almost immediately the bird flew up, higher and higher, until they almost touched the clouds.
"Why so high?" Said Sakura shocked, while holding on to Deidara's waist and looking down really careful. "Maybe those Konoha ANBU see us, that wouldn't be great, yeah." Replied Deidara.
He felt she pressed herself more against him. Her hands gripped his cloak tight and he swallowed with difficulty, staring right in front of him. Her tummy was already quite a thing, but he mostly felt her breasts against his back. He wondered how red he actually was.
"Why are you actually here?" She asked after a while, when they couldn't see Konoha anymore. "I read your letter, yeah." He said slowly. "Itachi wanted you to come. So did Leader-sama, yeah. I'll bring you back home tomorrow, yeah."
Sakura nodded. She closed her eyes and let her head rest against his back. The wind blew through the strands of her hair. It felt great. Like she didn't had any worries at all. Like she never betrayed her village.
She didn't know how long she sat there, with her arms around Deidara, with the wind stroking her face softly, and her eyes closed. But suddenly, a voice sounded through the peaceful silence, pulling her back to reality.
"Could you please let me go, Sakura-chan? We're here, yeah."
She opened her eyes and saw Deidara had landed in front of the headquarters. It was already getting dark. Deidara slightly turned around and smiled at her. To Sakura's surprise, she saw his cheeks were red.
