There's Nothing to Fear Except Phear Himself

Chapter 4 What lies ahead

    "Do you know where I can find this teen?" Alex asked a gas station clerk as he bought a candy bar.
    "I've seen him around but I couldn't tell you where he lives," the clerk answered him and checked him out.
    "Thanks anyway," Alex said sighing and walked outside. 'I'll never find him at this rate,' he thought to himself entering his car to meet with his friends.
    "Any luck?" Jess asked looking at him with worry that he'd never find this Andrew kid.
    "He knew nothing just like the last person," he said starting the car back up. He pulled out of the gas station and started driving back to the town. He pulled into a local dinner to eat with his friends.
    "We'll hang out here and eat while we try and find him," Conner said as they exited the car.
    "Wait is that him?" Jess point to a tall kid that looked about 15 and was with a girl that was about the same.
    "Andrew?" Alex asked him from behind as he reached to the kid.
    "How do you... Alex?" Andrew asked as he turned around to face the group.
"Yeah, we need to talk about that thing," he said looking at Andrew and leading his friends into the dinner. "Here come eat with us and we can talk later," he said opening the door.
"Ok, we'll go back to my house to talk more about it," he said leading his girlfriend into the restaurant.
The group all sat at a large booth together and ordered. Andrew sat next to Alex and they whispered, informing Andrew of what he was told. He also told him about his dream and that he was worried about Conner and Jess but thought he could help him to control his powers and protect them.
"Here I'll pay," Andrew said giving the amount due and extra money for the tip.
"Thanks," Jess said standing up looking at Andrew. She got her things together and waited for the others as one by one they came out of the booth.
"You're welcome, now if you follow me we can go to my house and Alex and I can talk as you'll get to know each other," Andrew said walking out the door with Isabelle, his girlfriend. They all went outside and Andrew and his girlfriend went to his truck. The others went to their car and pulled up behind him.
"Follow me and just park in the driveway," Andrew yelled out the window as he pulled away. They followed him down the road but got soon after they got cut off and got separated. But to their surprise Andrew had expected this and waited for them to catch up to him and continued to his house.
"So I can park here?" Alex yelled out his window as he pulled into his driveway as Andrew got out of the truck.
"Sure, just make sure you're not on the grass," he said as he unlocked the door to his home and opened the door. "Make yourself at home," he said as they walked in.
"Andrew I think we need to talk in the kitchen and they can get to know each other in here," Alex said as he walked through the door and closed it behind him.
"Follow me Alex," Andrew said as he led him into the kitchen. The others sat into the den and started to talk to each other about the boys and such.
"Look, I know it's weird but Iapetus told me all of these things and then I killed a man without even touching him, and all of this happened one day and it was just so sudden," Alex said as he just broke down in front of Andrew.
"Look just calm down and listen to me," he said as he put his hand on his shoulder. "You just need to stay calm in situations that become stressful, if you start to panic or get mad you will end up hurting someone that either doesn't need to be hurt or someone you care about," he said as he looked at him.
"I know but-" he was cut off by the sound of Jess screaming from the den. Alex ran out to the den to find the door broken down and all three of them gone. They both ran out of the busted door and saw just a glimpse of something holding all three of them enter a portal to somewhere. "JESS, CONNER, ISABELLE WE WILL GET YOU BACK!" he yelled at the portal right before it closed for he knew that he couldn't get them in time.
"I think we gotta get the rest of the team together," Andrew said to Alex looking back at his door.
"There are others? How many and who are they?" Alex asked looking back into the room to see if he could find any clues.
"I only know of one but there has to be others," Andrew said walking back into the den and started to clean up.
"We will get them all together and we'll find whatever took them and we will get them back, but in the process we will kill that thing and whatever it sides with," Alex said with a death stare through the untouched window.
With this event they both vowed to get them back and find as many people like them as they could.
