We went to visit Emma everyday during the week she was in hospital. We made cookies for her for when she comea out of hospital today after Eleanore begged, so after my kitchen was covered in white flour we went to the hospital to pick her up as her parents don't get back till next week.

"Daddy come on! Mummy needs 'er COOKIES!" I hear her yell from the front door with a tub in her hand filled with cookies.

"Alright. Alright I'm coming lass" I chuckle picking up my keys before heading out the door. We headed to the hospital and got out before heading to Emma's room. We entered and Eleanore ran over to her, the box bouncing in her small grasp as Emma sat on the side of the bed a warm smile on her face at the sight.

"Mummy! Mummy! Look we made cookies!" she yelled thrusting the box into Emma's arms.

"They look delicious" she smiled kissing Eleanore's forehead.

"Aye. Now my kitchen is covered in flour and cookie mix" I chuckled making my way over to the two girls as Emma laughed as I frowned playfully.

"It not my fault. Flour was verwy messy. It was your fault anwyways" she huffed pointing a finger at me.

"I am sorry princess" I chuckles before picking her up.

"Well I'll get changed and sign out" Emma stated rising from the bed.

"Aye Swan. We'll see you in a minute" I smiled kissing her forehead and leading Eleanore out the room. We waited in the waiting room as Emma changed and and we decided to stay at my house and ordered pizza and watch Tangled at Eleanore's request before falling asleep on the cozy couch.

3 weeks later

The sun was setting making the sky an orange colour and the sea reflecting the same sun. Eleanore was skipping along the path in front while I walked next to Emma.

"The food in that hospital was disgusting" she gagged as I chuckled since she had to go back for a check up and did the mistake of buying a doughnut.

"Ah. So not a fan I gather?".

"That obvious huh?".

"Aye well, I'm not the best cook but nor am I the worst".

"Hah. We'll see" she giggled before our daughter turned to look at us.

"Mummy. Why is the sky owange? It was blue eawlier" she questioned.

"Because the sun is going to sleep so the moon can come out" she answered which Eleanore replied with an 'Oh'. We carried on walking and I decides to brave it and grabbed her hand lightly in order to allow her to pull away but instead holds it tighter squeezing and looking up at me with a fond and loving smile on her face. We then turn our gaze back to the path in front of us as the sun sets. We walk to her house and enter the small apartment. It was a one bedroom and from the looks of it Emma slept on the small couch. The room was quite rustic but the paint was chipping and had mould starting to grow in the corner. The kitchen was old fashioned and very small with no real fridge just a mini one next to the microwave.

"It's nice..." I say slowly looking around the room.

"Hah. I wish" she scoffs.

"Daddy. Com see my woom" Eleanore yelled dragging me to a door near the kitchen as someone knocked on the door. I followed Eleanore into her room unable to hear the conversation at the front door. Her room was small and the window was broken. A single bed is pushed up against the wall on the right side of the room and a shelf full of toys, books and small trinkets.

"Do you like reading" I asked eyeing the bookshelf.

"Yes. But mummy weads to me some'imes to" she smiles sitting on her bed patting the seat beside her. I chuckle making my way over to her sitting down next to her as she starts to tell me about her books. I hear the door next door slam shut so we both stand and walk into the living room to see Emma slumped against the wall with her head in her hands.

"Emma, love. What's wrong?" I ask sitting on the floor next to her wrapping my arm around her shoulders with Eleanore climbing over my lap to see her mum.

"They're... T-they're... We got an eviction notice. I-I have two days to pay... But I don't have that kind of money!" she sobs leaning against me slightly.

"I'll give you the money love?" I reply kissing her temple as Eleanore wraps her arms around her mother comfortingly.

"Ha. Yeah well unless you have that amount I doubt it" she scoffs handing me the piece of this paper.

"Mummy?" Eleanore asks timidly.

"It states I can't borrow and I don't own this place. But I know it was Neal... He's been trying to get me homeless so I'll crawl back to him but never. Never again will I get involved with the son of a bitch as long as I'm here" she cries.

"Why don't you stay with me? I mean it's not like it's too small and I have enough rooms. If you don't want to stay, just stay there until you find somewhere else" I suggested hoping she'all say yes.

"Pwease mummy" Eleanore whined.

"Well... I guess it won't hurt" she sighs and I kiss her forehead before getting up and we start packing ready for her to move in with me...
