"Hey Deenie-Weenie!" I call to dean from the bathroom of the shabby motel room. "Are you in your costume yet?!" Dean promised me that we are going to go out drinking on my twenty-first birthday. Little did Dean know, My birthday is on Halloween.
"I'm dressing as we speak." Dean says with a sour attitude. The gang and I are dressing up for a local Halloween party at the bar.
I look into the mirror that hangs on the poorly painted yellow wall. I look at my reflection. I see a girl stare back. She has high cheekbones and deep-set eyes. Her light brown hair falls in soft ringlets around her face; Her brow bones cast shadows over her eyes. That's me. I decided to curl my hair for this special occasion. Maybe Castiel will notice me. I take a deep breath and smile at myself. Who knew life would be this crazy. Being apart of the god squad and killing monsters and things.
I finish applying the last coat of mascara to my already long eyelashes. Dean is going to freak when he sees my costume. I flip off the light in the bathroom and strut into the room Dean is in. I smile. Dean is turned away, adjusting his costume. I place my hand on my hip and tilt my head slightly. He looks over his shoulder at me for a split second before going back to his costume. Realization hits him and he jumps. He looks at me again with a terrified look on his face. My smile grows wider at his reaction.
"Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis..." He begins chanting an exorcism as he grabs a knife from the table behind him.
"Calm down El Deano. It's my costume." I say to him. He stops and looks at me. I have pure black scalera contacts in my eyes. I look like a demon. I am always wearing horns and carrying a pitchfork. I am an angel, Dressed as a demon. "Don't you like my irony?" I ask with a smile.
"No. You're just creeping the hell out of me." He says. I look at his costume and roll my eyes.
"Dr. Sexy. Really?" I ask with a raised eyebrow. Dean is dressed as Dr. Sexy, from Dr. Sexy M.D.
"Yes, Dr. Sexy. I fit this roll perfectly" He says as he flexes his muscles.
"What ever you say, Squirrel." I say while rolling my eyes. I walk over to the crumby dresser and pull out the drawer. I grab my black jacket and slip it on. I hear the door open and I look over my shoulder. Sam walks through the door, looking in the bag that rests in his hand. He looks up at me and almost has a heart attack. I smile widely at his reaction.
"What the hell, Charli?!" He says.
"I'm a demon." I smile as I hold up my pitch fork. He looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "What are you supposed to be?" I ask. Sam is wearing khakis and a brown T-shirt.
"I'm a moose." He says as he holds up what was in the bag. It is moose antlers connected to a headband. I smile.
"Really Sam?" Dean asks.
"You're one to talk, Dr. Sexy" Sam says with a smile.
"Castiel, Come here." I say as I ignore the brothers making fun of each others costumes. A slight breeze moves the curtains and Castiel appears infront of me.
"Charli" Castiel smiles when he sees me, then his smile fades quickly.
"It's okay Cas, She isn't a real demon." Dean says to Cas.
"Why would you pretend to be a demon?" Castiel asks me with a confused look on his face.
"It's Halloween" I smile. "Are you going to dress up?"
"I don't have a costume.." He says.
"It's okay, I prepared for this." I pickup a stack of clothes from ontop of the dresser and hand them to Cas. "Go change, We'll wait here." I say. Castiel takes the clothes and walks into the bathroom; closing the door behind him. I lean against the wall and look at Dean. He looks back and frowns.
