Author's POV

Emily Fields the "new English teacher" was at her house enjoying the last day of summer before she had to start working at Rosewood high. Emily was 25 years old. Her family had money but that didn't stop Emily from working. She wanted to live her dream of being a teacher and that was what she was going to do. Emily had called Hanna her best friend to check if she wanted to have dinner with her.

Emily's POV:

I start my new job as a teacher tomorrow. I can't wait to finally live my passion. Thank God I have everything prepared for all the classes so right now I am just waiting for Hanna. She is always late. I thought she was going to come on time because I told her there was food included but well I guess I was wrong! Speaking of the devil there is someone coming inside my house. The only other person who has a key of my house is Hanna so let's see what her excuse for being 30 minutes late is.

"Hey Emily I'm sorry I'm late. Caleb and I were unpacking the things we bought last week and I totally forgot to check the time". Well at least she was with her fiancé Caleb. They have been together since high school. I think I'll forgive Hanna this time.

"It's okay Hanna! I know you two are a little busy this days moving things to your new house". I told her because she is my best friend and I'm happy she is going to start this new chapter in her life.

"Well?" Hanna kind of asked... What is she talking about?

"Well what?" I asked back not knowing what Hanna meant.

"The food Em? Where is the food?" Hanna answered. Typically Hanna! She hasn't even asked me how I am doing.

"I am doing great Hanna thank you for asking! It's sweet of you to remember tomorrow is a big day for me". My sarcasm was so obvious.

"I'm sorry Em but I haven't eaten since lunch and I am starving. What do you say if while we eat dinner you tell me how you feel about tomorrow" Hanna told me knowing she had been rude.

"That sounds great! Let's go to the kitchen". I told Hanna forgetting that she was rude before and walking out of my living room. She followed me and we started eating.

"So ready for tomorrow Em?" Hanna asked me. "I know how bad you wanted to be a teacher and I am glad your dream is finally coming true".

"Yeah! I mean I can't wait to start teaching. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day". I answered. "But tell me have all the things you bought fit inside your house" I asked Hanna knowing she bought a lot of furniture an unnecessary things.

"Mmmmm...." Hanna thought about for a second before answering my question and pretending to be eating. I think Hanna knows I was right when I told her not to buy too many things and that's why she hasn't answered yet.

"So?" I said for her to know she hasn't given me an answer. Hanna just kept eating. I stood up and got Hanna's food.

"Okay, okay I am going to tell you but please give me back my food" She told me. The advantages of knowing her since we were kids. Every time Hanna doesn't want to tell me something I just take her food away and that makes her talk.

"You were right okay? I bought a lot of thing! And don't even dare to tell me 'I told you so'" She said. I couldn't stand it. I had to laugh.

"I knew it hahahahahahahahaha". I said making fun of her. She had this face of 'don't even tell me about it'. "I don't really know how Caleb asked you to marry him" I told her obviously joking. She playfully hit my arm.

"Hey! He loves me" She told me. "And you know you love me too".

"Of course Hanna" I told her but I couldn't stop laughing. She started laughing at her as well. That's why I love her. She knows how to laugh even at herself. We stopped laughing after a couple of minutes and kept eating.

"Hey have you met an interesting girl already?" Hanna asked me changing the topic from her to me in 5 seconds. I don't know why she is so focused on getting me a girlfriend. I don't get her rush to see me with someone else.

"No, Hanna I haven't met any girl yet" I told her. I will regret this. She is going to start looking for girls so I can date them. "But can you please not look for girls I am not in the mood to meet someone right now" I stopped Hanna's imagination before it could start running.

"Okay" She said. I know her she will start looking anyway.

"For real Hanna" I told her. "If you do it, I will get mad at you" I finished.

She threw her hands up knowing she couldn't do anything else, thank God she didn't keep talking about it. The rest of the night we kept talking about her wedding. Hanna left at 9 pm because she was tired and I also need to get some sleep before my big day tomorrow.
