Emily's POV
Ahhhhhhhh! Monday again. I usually love Mondays but I'm soooo tired I could really use some sleep. Too bad I'm responsible and went back to school 1 week before I had to. I don't even have a ride today, this couldn't be better.
I'll head to school now to get in time. I'm walking calming and trying to stay awake. There are some squirrels playing in a tree I'd like to take them and hug them, if only they were friendly. I stopped to check what they're doing. I was so focused on the little animals, but someone had to ruin the moment by honking their horn I turned to see who that evil person was and there she was in her car.
"Need a ride?" Maya asked me. I would really love to say no but she'd start asking a lot of questions if I do that.
"Yes" I said with a no so convinced face. I hope she notices I don't like to spend time with her.
"Get in" Maya told me unlocking the passenger's door. I hopped in her car and she set off.
"We didn't have the chance to talk yesterday" Maya said while staring at me for a second.
"Oh, yeah!" I didn't remember she was there yesterday "we were too busy asking for help" why do I feel the need to make up an excuse? Right because I'm in her car.
"Mrs. Dilaurentis should have let us picked our partners" she replied. I would have worked with Ezra then because working with Alison would have seemed too odd.
"Look at the bright side we've got the chance to know some other things about our students" I defended Mrs. Dilaurentis for obvious reasons "who's your partner?"
"Noel Khan, do you know him?" Maya asked me. Isn't he the guy Alison was kissing? I do know him but I don't like him. "Who's yours?"
"Yeah, he is in my class" I said not too thrilled about it. "Mine is Alison" more like Alison is mine or that's what I wish. Technically Alison is soon going to be mine if she says she does want to be my girlfriend.
Thank goodness we arrived at school after our short talk.
"Thank you for the lift" I showed my gratitude.
"It was nothing" Maya said. I need to escape from our talk now.
"I'll see you around" I told her and ran away.
I have to go print the quizzes for today because I'll surprise my students. Muahahahahahaha! I like my evil laugh.
"Good morning Talia" I said once I noticed she's printing some papers.
"Good morning Emily" she answered.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her.
"I'll be in charge of Mrs. Forrest's classes while she is in her maternity leave" Talia explained to me. I sounded rude when I asked her but she's sweet and didn't care.
"That means we are gonna have you here for 3 months" I thought out loud. I wanted to have a normal friend here from the beginning. Maya is too crazy for my liking.
"Yes" she chuckled "what do you think about getting dinner tonight?"
"I can't tonight" I'm thinking about asking Hanna for her help "what about tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow then" Talia grinned.
I printed the quizzes and left the room. This is the second time I'll try going out with one of my colleagues, hope Talia is decent and doesn't say anything that makes me regret being there with her in the first place.
Alison's POV
Saying yes to Aria's request to give her a lift wasn't the smartest decision. She has been talking about Mr. Fitz the whole ride, I'm gonna burst out yelling if she doesn't stop in this exact moment!
