Emily's POV
I followed Hanna's advice and thought about what Alison and I could have. This is one of those weird times in which my brain and my heart want the same thing, actually person: Alison, I need to see her and apologize.
I can't wait anymore more. I'll just go to her house. I changed my clothes and went outside. 'I'll buy roses on my way to her house' I told myself. Once I got them I started getting nervous what if she doesn't even open the door?
I got to Alison's house 'you can do this Emily' I cheered myself. I walked to the front door and knocked, no one opened. I tried knocking again but it was useless. There is no one in her house.
I sat in her porch and waited for her to come home but maybe she went to one of her friend's house because I have been here for 30 minutes and I don't think she is coming anytime soon.
'I guess I'll have to talk to her tomorrow' I gave up and went home.
I drifted off to sleep with Alison in my mind. I hope she is okay.
.......................................................................
It's finally Monday. I am more than ready to tell Alison everything. I am so excited and nervous but nothing can stop me.
I prepared for another beautiful day and left my house. Unfortunately I won't be able to give her the roses in front of everybody but who cares?
I started looking for her in front of the school. I can see her friends but she is not with them. She is probably inside. I was making my way to the front door when I saw her kissing the guy from last Monday. I thought she had said they weren't together. Ouch. I walked as fast as I could to my classroom and closed the door.
I didn't have enough time to think about what I saw because the bell rang. All the students came to the classroom but Alison and her friend are nowhere in sight.
"Good morning guys. How was your weekend?" I asked my students trying to forget everything.
"Good".................... "Not that bad"............. "Short" were some of the answers they said.
"I hope you have read at least the first 5 chapters of great expectations because I'll give extra credits to the people who can answer 3 questions" I told them.
We played 'who can answer more questions without making a mistake' for 20 minutes. Spencer and Mona won extra credits.
"Okay guys I think we had a lot of fun but I need to start telling you about the topic for today" I told them.
I was about to say something else when someone knocked on the door. Why can't it be someone else? I walked to the door.
"Can I help you?" I asked Alison and her friend.
"Yes, Ms. Fields we are sorry for being late but can we come in?" the boy asked with pleading eyes.
"No, without telling me why you are 22 minutes late" I said crossing my arms. Alison just kept staring.
"We had an issue but as I told you before we are sorry" the boy said again he nodded his head for Alison to tell something.
"Yeah, what he said" she told me not really caring.
"Okay come in" I told them but of course it won't be that easy. I'll give them detention for the rest of the week because I know they didn't have an 'issue'.
I started telling the students everything about the topic. I thought Alison liked me but I guess I was wrong. The class finally finished.
"See you tomorrow guys, take care" I told them.
"See you Ms. Fields" most of them said.
Alison and her friend were walking hand in hand to the door.
"You guys forgot something" I told them handing them the papers for detention.
"For the rest of the week?" the boy asked surprised.
"Yeah, I mean you both can fix your 'issue' in detention" I told them.
"Let's go Noel" Alison said grabbing the boy's hand.
I spent the rest of my day avoiding real conversations with people. Seeing Alison with that boy affected me a lot.
.....................................................................
It's time to go home. I got to my car and drove away, my phone started ringing and I couldn't find it. I was looking for it in my purse but I accidentally pushed it to the bottom. I was about to give up when I felt a horrible pain in the left side of my body. I took a deep breath and saw blood in my left arm that's when I found out I got hit by another car. The last thing I know is that I'm closing my eyes, even in this moment Alison is the first person that comes to my mind.
