Hey, so this was a mini school essay we needed to write in my English class, as terrible as I know it is I thought I may as well post it, seeing as it is still creative writing so- Here we are.
Blinking once, then twice, I took in my surroundings. The once calming and silently peaceful breeze now ruffled through my manic hair, disrupting it in a flurry and whipping it to and through across my dirtied face. But in all that happened, it was bare compared to the rest of my restless form. I was shaken, to the very bone, rubbing my palms back and forth in a frantic manner. Hoping to regain the feeling and warmth back into my bruised and abused hands. The burnt skin stung, however, I could care less. All that could matter now to me was that that man was gone. Burnt to ashes along with the house I had long since left. A death trap, or so I would call it, that had doomed many.
A small, sly smile slivered its way on to my face, relieved at the thought that maybe, just maybe, this could all be over. The demons that had followed me to the pit of my soul restlessly jumped from wall to wall in their relentless ways. They had cursed my family, dancing in that crimson liquid that had dotted the walls. My small frame trembled violently as I frantically shook my mother, hoping to bring back the life into her dull eyes. But all my wishes were of no help and she was soon buried deep in the forest she had so dearly to stroll through. Since that day they would not leave my side, taunting me until I cried out. Leading me on and soon over a cliff, over the sanity I could only cling on to in my dreams.
Standing there I took in the scene, a bright light illuminating its surroundings, a nightlight to the dark, shadowing forest. It was nothing like I had pictured it when I was little. We had first came to this manor when I was five, that year my mother was brutally stabbed to death. But my father had persisted to say she had passed on, that it was all in my fantasies as he would ruffle my hair before standing again. We soon left, my brother, father and I, as the funeral was over and there was no longer a reason to say. But we did not sell the house and every term we would return when my father was on holiday. For the house still possessed a meaning to my torn family. However that was not the end to my family's misfortune, though to say exploring the house was not fun, would be a lie. Creaking doors and foggy windows were no longer boring and noisy but added a new exciting aura to the old musky house which my demons helped me explore. The forest was new and fresh, filled adventurous things to do, searching hollows in trees and falling in crumpling autumnal leaves.
My thought was clouded, though, as if something was blocking an important memory. I was not allowed to know of.
"Do you still think it was a good idea?" He whispered in my ear, the eery tone to his voice was all I needed in the means of telling me my job was not yet complete.
"What do you mean?" I questioned, my voice all but hushed in the silence of the crackling fire in front of my form. I had soon given up playing innocent with him. His cocky demeanour was one thing, but his uncanny talent for seeing straight through my once flawless act was another.
"Burning it. Do you still so believe that it will rid of him, you realise that cannot be done ~ nothing of the sort!" He sang, his annoying voice echoing back and forth behind my back, earning only a sigh from myself. I had long since forgotten to react to his childish ways, a trait that had awoken the more he hung around me.
"Then I will chase him away," I stated simply, his taunting would no longer pick its way inside to my brain. Remaining there to tick away, like a bomb that could explode in any second. "Like I have done so for so long."
He remained silent, as in thought, but for was I was not sure. Still, I stood my ground, waiting for that wretched house to burn to ashes. Returning to what it once was and back to nature. The crackling fire's tinders flew away with the wind, dancing in the air like fireflies.
"Well, I guess we can wait." He chimed gleefully to me, running to the houses rickety steps and stood watching. As if entranced by the popping lights that gracefully danced in the pitch black night, a like a snake under the spell of a tamer, he was entranced by its movement. However, I kept my distance, unprotected and in only a worn away cardigan and ripped dress. Cliché, I know, but I had not expected such a visit at this time of night, the night was to be feared for its beauty was to behold but its true nature held gruesome secrets that were shrouded by the shadows that loomed over the cloudless night. Clear to reveal the moonless sky, this was left bare with the stars all alone in the sky. I was defenceless in it.
"I think it's time we woke her up..."
"But doctor, isn't that dangerous?"
"It will be fine; if she stays any longer she will become a danger to herself."
"A-alright, doctor."
Suddenly, he rushed to my side as I collapsed in his arms, grinning. My breathing came in short ragged gasps as I myself struggled to breath.
"Don't fight it yet; Wait, my little Fawn. They are all dangerous, ravenous creatures." He said as he grinned wider, his face becoming a blur. He was right, they were all dangerous, even him. I nodded as my conscious slipped from within my palms, the fire crackling in the background, now evilly in its true aura.

My head ached almost as much as the sore feeling in my throat and the stinging in my arm. My memories came rushing back as I struggled to escape in the restraints of the nurse's arms. The doctor beside me stood tall, reading his notes, analysing the contents of my latest nightmare. All set in that manor. He looked back to the nurse and signalled that it was my time to go, back to the dull confines of the place I was to call my home. The nurse only nodded and she carefully helped me up and out of the room, but that I was not worried of. No, only the intent gaze of the doctor's, which lay on me.
