Clara puts her hand out to the Doctor letting him know she was ready. He still wasn't used to physical contact but he grasped her hand because he knew that is what she wanted. As they walk through the city streets taking in the familiar sights. The Doctor observed 'You know Clara this place hasn't really changed much.'

'It really hasn't. How long has it been Doctor?' Clara immediately realized that it wasn't a straightforward question. For her it was about five years or she thought. No telling how long for the Akathens, and for the Doctor was anyone's guess. "One big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey mess" it sounded weird but it was a surprisingly accurate description the Doctor once said.

'For me about 1800 years,' the Doctor confessed. Clara is continuously surprised about his answers. She hoped to God that her suspicion wasn't true but, she had to know if he was alone.

'Please, Doctor tell me you weren't alone all that time?' The Doctor looked away the answer in his eyes apparent as he thought of the Time War.

'Oh, my Doctor,' Clara clutched his hand tighter than ever and it felt good. Strange, but good the Doctor thought.

As they walked around the market Clara saw a glowing orange fruit. It garnered her attention and she looks at it. 'What do you think,' she asks the Doctor. He was quite happy at the distraction as he looked closer at it.

'It's kinda like a passion fruit,' he replied.

'Oh, I love passion fruit. Does that mean it's good,' Clara remembered the last time she tried a glowing fruit and wrinkled her nose. She takes a bite and the first part tasted wonderful then it tasted odd confusing her. Clara offers the fruit to the Doctor. 'I don't know. What do you think,' hoping to get the Doctor's honest opinion. The Doctor sinks his teeth into the fruit and he grins nodding with Clara's assessment. 'Better, than that blue stuff last time,' Clara determined. The Doctor took another bite of the fruit and handed it back to her.

'But, it had tons of free radicals,' the Doctor said in defense of his choice that day. Clara looks at him she hadn't understood quite what he said. 'Oh, you know the blue stuff! It is excellent for you,' the Doctor continued.

'The taste wasn't,' Clara retorted at the memory of the bitter taste.

'Well, I didn't say that now did I,' the Doctor was finally starting to loosen up with the bantering. Clara couldn't help but chuckle when she saw his tense body starting to loosen up. The Doctor grinned a little at her laugh and fidgeted with his bow tie.

'So, do they have any fun things to do here,' Clara asked the Doctor. Anything besides living bad memories Clara hoped.

'We could ask Doreen,' the Doctor replied 'rent a scooter or something.'

'That sounds wonderful,' Clara was excited with the thought of a scooter ride. She only rode the last one in a hurry to save Merry she really wanted to have a peaceful ride through the city.

'Well, come on, short stuff,' the Doctor grinned even wider. Almost there Clara thought before attempting a comeback. Usually, she could stand toe to toe with the Doctor's bantering but then he would say something so off the wall making her burst out in fits of laughter. Oh, how she wished that would happen again.

'Oi! Watch it,' she acted offended but she was tickled pink that the Doctor had made a joke. The Doctor almost let out a chuckle himself. As they start walking towards Doreen's scooter rental Clara started making small talk 'I'm not that short ya know. You're just a... Giant... Timelord... Person.' The Doctor frowned at the thought of being a Timelord. They stopped at a dead end Clara's direction had never been that good. 'Sorry, I got us lost,' she finally conceded. He paused for a moment closing his eyes while putting out his finger.

'This way,' he points. The Doctor could walk out of the TARDIS with absolutely no indication of where he was and give you the planet, space time coordinates, air mixture, and the weather just for good measure just by looking out the door. As Clara places her arm in his and she says.

'How do you remember so well Doctor?'

'I never forget.... Anything,' sighs the Doctor. Clara leaned her head on him while they walked quietly through the streets the Doctor was content for the first time in centuries. After a while he says with a deep regret. 'Why would I ever leave my Impossible Girl?' Clara looks at him sadly.
