***Daniel’s POV***
“NICOLE! TALK TO ME!”, I had managed to scream before she took off. I kicked the rocks in the driveway and groaned. What has gotten into her? I know what Selena said was wrong, but did she really need to throw the shoes at her and then purposely ignore me. I sighed as I walked back into the house. I entered the kitchen and saw Selena still crying. I brought all my attention to her, “Babe, are you okay?” she looked at me and sniffled, “Does it look like I’m okay? I got a cut on my cheek!” she exclaimed. It was actually just a slight cut, but Selena always loved to over react. “Well, babe it isn’t that bad. You can barely see it.” I admitted. “Not that bad? Not that bad?! She practically abused me! We should call the cops and press charges!”, she screamed. I lightly flinched at her loud tone of voice. All the months we’ve been together, I’ve never seen so much fury in her eyes. Her small petite body paced back and forth as her arms crossed around her chest. “I hate it when you always take her side”, she scoffed. “I’m not taking anybody’s side. It’s just that what you said was kind of hurtful to Nicole.” I explained. “What about what she said to me?”, she mentioned. “What did she tell you?” I asked confused. “That’s not the point! The point is you’re marrying ME! Not HER! I don’t want you to talk to her anymore!” She screamed at me. “What does me marrying you, have to do with any of this? Why can’t I talk to her? She’s been my best friend since I was nine!” I screamed back at her. Selena let out an irritated huff and stomped away with her heels taping across the wood floor. I scoffed and went to our bedroom and slammed the door shut and locked it. As I sat on the bed I screamed and kicked, like a little kid throwing a fit. I sat there for a minute and decided to call Nicole. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed her number.
“Yes Daniel?” she sighed as she answered. “Hey, umm did you get home safe?”, I said unsure of what to say. “Yeah” she breathed into the phone. “So, I’m sorry for about what happened today. I know what Selena said wasn’t right”, I tried to apologize. “Yeah, It’s fine” She accepted the apology. There was an awkward silence on the other line. “Uhh” I started to try and bring up a conversation. “So um…” she finally spoke. “Hey, so do you think we can hang out tomorrow?” I asked her. She stayed quiet for a moment and said “Yeah, what do you wanna do?” she asked. “You wanna just go to the mall and look around?” I suggested. “Yeah we can do that.” I smiled and said “So, I’ll call you tomorrow around twelve?” I asked. “Yup, I’ll be waiting.” I couldn’t help but chuckle. “Okay Nicole bye.” We both hung up and I smiled to myself knowing that she wasn’t mad anymore. I unlocked the bedroom door and headed down stairs. I looked around the house for Selena, but couldn’t find her anywhere. Good, now for some peace and quiet. For the rest of the day I just watched a bunch of TV and went to sleep.
*** Nicole’s POV ***
The next morning as I woke up, I remembered about the plans me and Daniel made for today. I was excited I hadn’t spent any “best friend time” with him since him and princess were engaged, which was about a horrible six months. I looked onto my night stand to see the time and read 10:43 AM. Good, I got about two hours till I have to go pick up Daniel. I jumped out of bed and headed over to my closet to choose an outfit. I had no clue what to wear. I searched through the shirts that hung in closet. My eye was caught by my coral pink cage yolk chiffon blouse. I had just bought it a few weeks ago. I thought it was cute. Now I just need to find these splash watercolor blue/purple printed leggings that would go perfect with my blouse. I ran to my drawer and opened it and began to hunt for my leggings. After a few minutes of searching I finally found them! I got my clothes together and headed to the restroom to take a shower.
After I finished with my shower, I grabbed a towel and dried myself and put the clothes on and looked at my refection. Dang now for the hard part; makeup and hair. I grabbed my blow drier off of the shelf and turned it on. I loved feeling the warm air hit my skin. I moved my hair around with the drier. A few minutes before I was about to finish I turned on my flat iron so that way when I was done it would be hot and ready to straighten my hair.
