Finale.

Gant opened his jaws and fired off a massive geyser of flames.

Steeling himself, and making sure he had a firm grip on Mikoto, Kirito launched himself into the air, dodging the scorching flames as they burned they melted the stone floor.

He dashed to the side and sent the Master Sword's blade flashing down upon one of the dragon's massive foreclaws, the sword only appearing to be a splinter in size comparison. However, somehow the weapon's strike caused Gant to rear up in pain.

"Fool human!! Your sword is but a tiny pin needle!!" Gant roared.

A ginormous, Godzilla sized tail swept in, flames issuing from the scales.

"Hold on tight!" Kirito called to Mikoto as he leapt into the air with her.. and landed on the top of the tail., carefully avoiding geysers of flames.

Gant let out a booming roar that split all the ears of those present, he thrashed his tail against the ground, attempting to shake Kirito and Mikoto off, each tail slam created a massive earthquake.

"I-I can't hold on!!" Mikoto screamed as suddenly she slipped out of Kirito's arm.

"MIKOTO!!" Kirito grabbed onto Gant's blazing hot scales, doing his best to ignore the burning sensation he felt in his hand as he lashed out another hand and caught the collar of Mikoto's Valkyrie armor with the tip of the Master Sword. "GRAB MY WRIST HURRY!!"

Mikoto reached out a hand and grabbed the wrist of the hand Kirito was using to hold the sword, but her sweaty hands kept slipping off.

"MIKOTO!! You need to use your power!! Cling to the scales with static!!" Kirito yelled.

"I-I'll try!!" Mikoto stammered. "Wait.. how do I have this power!? I don't remember!!"

"It doesn't matter what you remember!! You just have to do it!" Kirito said. "TRUST ME!!"

I-I don't know you!" Mikoto said. "I don't even know me! How can I trust anything!?"

"Do you have any other choice right now!?" Kirito yelled. "Come on!!"

Mikoto tried to put her feet against the thrashing tail's street sized scales.. but suddenly, her body flickered, and Mikoto's eyes dimmed weakly. "I.. I.. can't... urgh..

Mikoto fell off..

As Mikoto fell.. Kirito's vision seemed to shift, and for just a second he saw a different girl falling in Mikoto's place..

Sachi!

"I'VE GOT YOU!!!" Kirito jumped off the thrashing tail, and grabbed Mikoto in his arms. "I've got you!"

Mikoto clenched her eyes shut in fear as Kirito's back exploded into the molten earth, creating a crater.. flames were now surrounding the entire molten ruined palace. Burning into the night sky.

It was as if the two of them had both entered Hell itself.

Kirito stood up, groaning, as Mikoto awkwardly tried to help him up.

"A-are you alright!?" Mikoto stammered.

Kirito shook his head a little. "I.. I'm fine.. just winded."

"Oh.. so.. pitiful!" The giant dragon began circling Kirito and Mikoto, walking through the flames on all four limbs, the earth shaking with every step. "Just one boy, with a silly tiny sword against a great beast of flame and disaster!!"

Gant leaned in his massive snout, and growled at Kirito and Mikoto, flames issuing from his snout. "I shall show you the folly of your rebellion, Black Swordsman!"
