Andy's PoV
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Jamie's phone started to ring, and when she picked it up, we all listened. It has been two hours since Alice left, and one hour since I have kicked Juliet out of my bus. She came on our bus earlier while the guys were all asleep, and she wanted to get back together, but I absolutely told her no. And that's when I figured out she was drunk. I figured out right when I tasted the beer on her lips. And after a moment of her forcing herself onto me, I pushed here off and told her to get out. Her band's bus was across from us in the parking lot, but I'd never imagine that she'd come over.
"Hello? Yes this is Jamie, and who is this?" We all heard Jamie speak into the phone. "You found Alice?! Where is she?!" Her face became concerned then it was like all life had left her. "W-w-wha-what?" She asked into the phone in disbelief. Me, and the rest of BVB, SWS, Max, and Journee leaned in to what Jamie was worried about. She dropped the phone, along with herself and began to cry into her hands.
"What's the matter Jamie?" Ashley asked her, picking her up.
Jamie took a big gulp of breath before saying, "We need to get to the hospital. Now!"
We all told the bus driver where to go, and Jamie just crawled into Ashley's lap on the couch and cried.
"Baby girl? What's wrong?" Ashley asked in a soothing voice.
"A-Alice . . . She . . . Went to the e-emergency room . . . And she-she . . ." She couldn't say anymore, and I started to get worried. Why was she in the emergency room? What happened to her?
We arrived to the hospital, and Jamie darted off the bus before we could even stop. We ran after her and she ran up to the desk.
"Alice. She came here an hour ago. Where is she?" She cried out to the receptionist.
"She's in room 251 being medicated on, and having things removed. You can wait outside the door if you want." Jamie nodded her head, and she bolted towards the elevator, leaving us panting behind her. She was kind enough to wait for us and hold the elevator door. Once we got in, she just crawled to the corner of the elevator, and cried her poor eyes out.
Ashley crouched next to her and gave her a hug, trying to calm her down.
"Baby girl . . . What happened to poor Alice?"
She steadied her breathing and gave us all a smile before standing up.
"Alice was out by her special spot by our dead man road, and a car wasn't parked at the end of the road, and she was sitting on a bench, " she took a big gulp of air before continuing. "And she was hit by the car. She was laying on the bench, and s-she got rammed into the bench by the car, and the driver was out in the woods hunting, and she d-d-didn't make it! She died and they've been trying to revive her for an hour now! She got two razors plunged into her lungs!" he shouted out the last few parts, and fell to the ground again, letting her body fall apart.
And that's exactly what I did. I fell to the ground, not being able to hear anything. Pangs of hurt filled my chest and everything blurred around me. I think the elevator door opened but I wouldn't know. I just felt Jake and CC carry me out.
Alice is dead. This can not be happening. She can't be dead! No! This is not happening!
I was sat on the bench outside of a door that had doctors and nurses running in and out with tubes, medical equipment, and other illogical things. I was starting to get scared when I saw a bags of blood being taken into her room. I'm pretty sure this is her room. Everyone was looking at the people walking in and out.
I inhaled a deep breath and let some of the tears fall from my eyes.
Please let her be okay. Please, " I started begging in my head. I needed Alice. She was the only one to make me happy! Or at least this happy. . .
I want for her to so badly be okay. I seriously need here to be here when I wake up. . .
I woke up to a nudging in my side. My eyes felt like they were on fire as I opened them up. I looked over to see my shoulder was rested on Journee's shoulder. She looked as beat up as I and Jamie did Now that I think about it, there are other people in the room. What else did I notice? Two other unfamiliar people in the room. They both had dark brown hair, but lighter than Alice's. They also looked very professional and mature.
They looked up, and their eyes were the same as everyone else's, as I looked carefully around the room to everybody else.
"Are you Andy?" They both asked. I nodded my head in confusion, as it showed on my face as well.
"We're Alice's parents." My mouth formed an "O" and Max sat on my left, looking very uncomfortable in my opinion.
"How long was I out?" I asked him to distract him. I remember Journee texting me earlier about Max's past, and I truly felt sorry for him. I also felt sorry for him and his idea of running away. He looks fine now, but then I remembered that he hasn't exactly talked to his parents in a long time. . .
"You were out for around an hour. None of the doctors are telling us if Alice is okay." His voice cracked at the end, and I let my breathing become heavier as my chest filled with more heaviness.
I turned to Journee.
"Sorry for falling asleep on you," I whispered.
"It's okay. We were going to let you sleep longer, but the doctors about to come back out." I nodded my head. Another pang of a knife felt like it hit my chest, and I couldn't help but wonder if Alice was going to be okay. Or, I the least, alive.
The doctor came rushing out with his clipboard, and called out, "Alice's guardian?" Max stood up. I gave Journee a confused look, and a piece of paper was handed to me by a shaking Alice.
"This is what they found on the bench next to her," she explained. I took it from her and skimmed it over. o Alice's parents were taken from her?
I handed the paper back to Jamie, and just looked over to Max and the doctor walk into a corner. Max looked like he couldn't believe something. But for sure, he was about to cry. He came back over to explain the news to us, but he sat back down and gave us a sad smile.
Oh lord, please tell me Alice isn't dead! I thought.
"Alice has been revived many times, and has failed to breath more than three seconds on all of those attempts. However," he gave us an actual smile. "Since they patched up her lungs, took out the two razors, unfolded the metal and wood from the bench, Alice is now breathing again." We all jumped up and hugged one another, as the doctor came back.
"Mr. Maxwell, I'd also like to inform you that Alice will be in a coma for around two weeks to two months."
