Rylee POV
Where could this place be? The beach? No. The grocery store? Heck no. The bathroom? Definitely not. Maybe the shoe store? Now I'm just being stupid. I read the note again.
You will find the next gift hiding in a rockin place. Where tunes play all day just like you play me.
Love your one and only.
"Hey girly. Whatcha looking at?" Rydel ask as she walks in. I'm still mad at her so I face away from her. Her eyes give off a sad vibe and well I can't look at them.
"A piece of paper." I answer sharply. Rydel gives me the attitude I will too.
"Maybe I can help you find the place." Rydel suggests trying to get me to lighten up.
"Fine. Here you go." I shove the paper at her which she gladly grabs before reading it over.
"Rylee, are you serious?" Rydel looks up at me from the paper.
"What?!?!" I demand from her.
"The next gift is at the music store." She remarks at me. "See 'rockin place' and 'tunes play all day'." Rydel points at the clues.
"Well what are you waiting for let's go!" I yell and jump off the bed.
We both run out to Rydel's rental car. The rest of the way is me trying not to chew on my nails and Rydel tapping her fingers against the steering wheel to the music coming from the stereo in the car.
When she pulls up I don't even wait for her to start the car, I jump out of the car and see a box with a note sitting in the window seal. I push open the door and am greeted with music blaring out.
"Hello Ms. Rylee." A guy with a brown, long beard says from his position behind the counter.
"Hi sir." I smile and wave at him.
"Oh none of that business." His smile lights up. "You're present is sitting right there." I see him point to the box sitting in the window seal.
"Thank you." I grab the box and with one last wave I leave the store quickly.
I plop down in the car with a huff. Scavenger hunts are tiring.
"What does it say?" Rydel interrogates me when I buckle my seat belt.
I read the note out loud to her.
Thought this got easier well you must have been wrong. I hide in a place where people always go. I love french fries and my name which starts with F.
Love the best husband ever.
"Huh?" Rydel looks stumped.
"It has to a restruant that starts with F." I say looking over the note again.
"Open the gift." Rydel urges me. "Then finish the note later."
"Ok ok I'm opening." I tell her.
I rip the paper off the small box. Tears quickly gather in my eyes when I pull the lid off.
"Oh my god Rylee, he must really love you." Rydel has tears in her eyes as well.
A diamond ring sits neatly with a matching pair of earrings. The inside of the ring says 'together forever'. Holy crap he so did not get this for me. I take the ring out and put it on my finger right away where the ring shines nicely next to my wedding ring.
"Ok so now the gift is out of the way so time for note." I toss the trash onto the ground and pick the note back up.
"Hey we need to stop for some food before continuing." Rydel declares.
