Family Before Fame

Chapter 24

Rylee POV

Christmas came and went as well as new years Reese's second birthday was sneaking up on us making our heads spin. My little baby boy was going to be turning two soon. Today was February first, and R5 had gone back on tour. I currently sat on the couch sipping on a cup of coffee. No one was up except Raelynn she was crawling everywhere. A lot has happened in the past few months besides Christmas and New Years. Rydel and Ellington got married, and let's just say Stormie was not happy about then eloping she eventually became ok with the whole thing. Ryland proposed to Emma they're going to wait until after the baby is born. Speaking of baby Emma is now nine months pregnant. Rydel is now about three months along. Everyone is freaking pregnant.

I hear the door squeak open looking up I see Emma wearing a robe and messy hair followed by Ryland. She sees me and I smirk wiggling my eyebrows.

"Shut up Rylee. We can't do anything I'm nine months pregnant." Emma rolls her eyes. I chuckle watching Ryland pick up Raelynn. He will be a good father. I go back to drinking my coffee, and decide to read this book I've been working on. Emma has gone back into the bedroom area to change.

"Ryland are you excited for the baby?" I question him not looking up from my book. I hear him sigh.

"Yes and no." Ryland says from the floor where he is playing with Raelynn. I look down at him and frown.

"I want to go shopping for baby stuff." Ross says looking up from his lunch. I decided to take Ross out for lunch to a local restaurant here in Columbus, Ohio. Stormie offered to take the kids claiming 'I haven't had enough time with my grand babies.'

"Ok dokey. I think they have a Babies R Us store right down the street from here." I shrug my shoulders eating a curly french fry.

"I can't believe you're six months along already, Reese will be two on the fourteenth, and Raelynn will be one in June." Ross sighs. I watch some snowflakes fall outside, I love February snow it makes me so happy.

"I love kids, but you need to stop putting them in me." I laugh picking up a french fry and throwing it at him. He dodges in just in time.

"Well maybe you should just stop being so gosh darn sexy." He chuckles throwing a french fry back at me, but unfortunately I forgot to dodge so I got hit.

After we paid for our food we leave to head to the baby store. Upon arriving I grab a cart and we make our way to the girl's clothing section.

"You know we still haven't picked out a name for her." Ross says while looking at a onesie that says Daddy's little girl.

"I don't want to think about names right now. We can choose later." I tell him picking up a little shirt about Raelynn's size. The shirt is a light yellow color with a little smiley sun in the middle of the front. I toss it in the cart for Raelynn even though were baby shopping for the bun in the oven.

As we keep shopping Ross puts so much stuff in. I try to put some of it back because we don't need that much, but he insisted we need it.

"Ross we have tons of clothes from Raelynn." I tell him putting another shirt up.

"I know I know it's just so much fun to shop." He sighs putting a pair of shoes in the cart that I have to take out because we don't need them.

Shortly after getting Ross to put some stuff back we head to pay. Ross has to give the cashier an autograph for her daughter. We finally make it back to the bus. Stormie comes running out to us in the car.

"Emma's water broke!" She gets in the backseat of the car. "Let's get to the hospital."

"What happened?" I ask driving away to go to the hospital.

"Well Ryland took Emma to the store to pick up some things they might need when the baby comes and her water broke. Poor Ryland was so panicked. They should be there now." Stormie explains as I drive.

When we get there we rush in.

"We're here for Lynch." Ross tells the receptionist. She types something on the computer.

"Emma and Ryland are back in the deliver room so you'll have to wait over there with what looks like the rest of your family." She points a finger over at the other family we didn't notice.

Ross and I sit down waiting patiently for the doctor to come out and give us good news. I play with the many rings Ross is wearing. River brought Reese and Raelynn with him.

"Mommy why we here?" Reese asks his head resting on my lap.

"You're getting a cousin and we want to be here when he arrives." I tell him.

"Ok mommy." Reese says making me smile.

Three hours later the doctor finally comes out with a smile on his face.

"Lynch?" He calls out.

Our huge family stands up and rushes over with smiles on our faces waiting to receive the good news.

"Congrats on the new baby girl family."  He says smiling still. "They are all in room 46 right down this hallway."

Baby girl. I thought they were having a boy. They even bought things for boys. Uh oh.

We make our way down to their room and see Ryland standing outside crying. He runs his hands through his hair like he is stressed.

"Uncle Ry!" Reese runs over to him in excitement. "I get cousin?"

"Yea buddy a girl cousin." Ryland says smiling. "She is so beautiful. When she is older I'm gonna have to fight off all the guys."

"You ok Ryland? You were crying and seemed stressed." Stormie asked.

"I'm just so excited to have a kid even though I'm scared to death." Ryland ushers us to follow him in the door.

I immediately am brought back to the time I had my kids and what it was like to see the family walk in with smiles on their faces because of the bundle of joy in my arms. Emily is laying propped up on the bed holding her baby whose wrapped in a pink blanket.

"Guys this is our daughter Isabella Irene Lynch." Emily whispers.

I'm so sorry for such a long wait. I'm a horrible person I know. I had writers block for the longest time then school started and I've been going through some rough patches. I finally decided to finish this chapter. This may be the last chapter since I don't seem to enjoy writing the book like I used too. No one really reads it and that sucks. It wasn't my best one. We all grow in writing and I'm getting ready to write a few more books that will be much better. I'll hopefully get those up soon and you can read those.
