Chapter 23

Rylee POV

Reese is in his room coloring, Raelynn is napping, and well for me I'm laying in bed relaxing. I can't believe I'm pregnant again I just had a baby. Ross lays next to me drawing patterns on my baby bump whispering I'm sorry in my ear. I feel sleepy, but I know we have to leave soon.

"Baby we should get up." Ross says before kissing my cheek and sitting up.

"I don't want to go." I whine rolling onto my side away from him.

"Rydel will be heartbroken if you don't. This party is also about you." Ross laughs smacking my butt slightly.

Just because I forgave him doesn't mean I'm still super hurt that he cheated on me. Most people would be in court over it. I decided we needed to work it out like adults instead of running away from our problems.

I sigh knowing that Ross is right, so I get up and go to our closet to chose what to wear. Picking out some jeans and a sweater since it's cold. I pull on my fuzzy socks, and some boots that Ross bought me last Christmas.

This is going to be a great night. Note the sarcasm.

Rydel greets me and the kids with a hug. She gives a glare to Ross. He frowns, his family knows what happened and they are treating him poorly. I feel bad.

"Rydel it's ok I forgave him." I tell her. She looks at me shocked.

"I never meant to hurt her Rydel you have to understand that." Ross says looking down in shame.

"I forgive you too Ross, but don't ever hurt Rylee again. I don't care if you're my brother I will treat you like a stranger." She threatens him.

"Let's just get this started." I sigh.

"My mother is making turkey and my dad is out back with the men." Rydel says dragging me to the couch.

My mother and sister already have gotten Raelynn. Ross went out back and took Reese along with him. Some father-son time how cute.

"So how is the wedding planning going?" I question Rydel.

"Um...about that. Ellington and I decided to elope." Rydel whispers slightly. She looks down at her lap embarrassed.

"Wow." Is all that comes out of my mouth.

"Yea we can't agree on anything. Were actually doing it tomorrow." Rydel tells me.

"Have you told your parents?" I question. Rydel shakes her head frowning letting me know that she has not. "Are you going to tell them?" Rydel again shakes her head.

Stormie and my mother come marching there way in ending the conversation quickly.

"Time to eat!" My mother yells to everyone. I smile watching Rae help Reese up. What a great aunt.

Ross POV

Dinner was fantastic, my mother is probably the best cook in the whole town. Dinner was spent talking about the rest of the tour, baby talk, and eating the chicken noodle soup my mom had put together.

The cake was set out on the table, it was a three layer white cake with pink and blue flowers decorated about the cake. The filling of the cake was the color of the gender. Pink for girl and blue for boy.

"Ross and Rylee get over here you have to cut the cake." Rydel grabs our arms pulling us to the cake in front of a huge crowd.

I smiled at my wife. Were already working on a third child, we have come so far in only about a year and a half.

We picked up the knife and it felt like our wedding all over, except it was way better we were finding the gender of our first baby as a married couple.

Everything felt like in slow motion. I stood behind Rylee one hand on her waist and one one her glowing baby bump. I smiled brightly at her. How could I have cheated on her? We sliced through the cake and made another slice in the cake to make one piece. Cameras were going off, I wished this moment would never end.

The moment came we pulled the cake out. Everyone cheered happily. I turned Rylee around kissing her deeply.

"Ross," Rylee said after I pulled away. "Were having a girl!" She screamed excited.

"We're getting a granddaughter." Stormie hugged Dad and Renee.

"There are some gifts in the living room." Rydel spoke above the crowd. She was happy, but I knew there was something else.

"Ok sweetheart, let's open them then." Mom motions us into the living room. Rylee starts to go, but I stop her.

"I love you." I say pulling her closer to me. Rylee nods giving me a small smile.

"I love you too." Rylee kisses me softly before letting go and leaving the room.

I knew she still wasn't sure about me, but I want her to know I love her. There is only one way I could do it.

"I'm gonna have another grandchild, omg!" Mom screams from the living room. "I can't take much more."

I walk into the living room and see my mom crying, and holding a picture frame. I see Riker standing in the corner looking amongst the crowd.

"What's going on?" I ask him.

"Mom and dad got a gift with a picture of Rydels first sonogram." Riker points over to where our parents our sitting.

Ryland stands with Emma in a corner. Her hand resting on her very big bump. Ryland catches my eye, and I motion to mom and dad sitting on the couch.

"Tell them." I mouth to him.

Ryland turns to Emma saying something to her. She nods frowning. They walk over to stand near mom and dad.

"We have news as well." Ryland speaks up so everyone talking can here him.

"Well go ahead." Dad says to Ryland.

"As you know Emma is pregnant with a baby boy. His name is Christian Reid Lynch." Ryland speaks placing a hand on his girlfriends belly.

"What?!?!" Mom fans herself. "Is this give mom a heartatrack day?"

Wow three family members pregnant. This is gonna be one heck of a year.

Sorry I took so long. I have been so busy. I thought summer was gonna be free but boy was I wrong.
